Interview with @Addicting

Oh my gosh I love your interview book! It helps authors get more audience such a lovely thing to do.

Thank you! It's really helping me as an author as well. I learn at least one thing from each person which I end up applying to myself :) They're open for anyone, so if you or someone you know, ever wants one just let me know! :)

Oh I'd love one :) ill tell some of my friends about you too xxx

Cool that would be awesome, thanks!

So the first question: What is your favorite book you've written?

The title is “Revolution 21”

Okay! What was the first story you ever wrote and when did you write it? (not just on wattpad)

When I was in about year four (2009) my mum helped me write a story called “The mail box” for a competition at school. That's the only one that I can really remember as my first but I’m positive I wrote stories before then.

Why do you write?

It gives me a reason to sit in my room on my computer for hours. I'm able to go anywhere I want with whoever. I'm able to escape to non-existent lands and meet creatures that only my dreams hold.

Where do your stories come from/what is your inspiration?

I randomly walk around the house talking to myself and I’ll say something totally weird. Somehow what I say it turns into a story. Although with my recent stories they've been inspired by my little brother’s grade six assignments. i.e. He had to research robots and that's how Revolution 21 come to be.

So when you write, who controls the story, you or the characters?

Defiantly my characters. When I write I feel like me and my characters are one and they take over my brain in a sense. I'll be writing, nothing will be planned, then I'll have an amazing idea but my mind tells me 'no, It should happen this way or else this character will have something bad happen to them.' and I can't hurt my characters, they're like my babies they always have to be safe even when the plot twist comes along, they can't die.

Which idea comes to you first, the plot or the characters?

The plot. The plot to me is what inspires me to write. If it’s a bad plot then the work will be bad if it's a plot I fall in love with hopefully the work is the same. The characters are defiantly the ones who help tell the story and without them I wouldn't have a clue where to start, but without the plot it be plain old boring!

Is writing just a hobby or would you like to become a full-time author?

For now it's just a hobby, but one day when I understand literature to the fullest I'd love to be a full-time author. It defiantly be a dream come true to my inner 8 year old self.

How much do you read and what type of books?

I would be happy to call myself a bookworm. Truth is I've read city of bones 2 and 1/2 times in a month. I'd defiantly into the fantasy type books as well as the thriller/mystery and let’s not forget sci-fi. The only exception would be if I saw a cliché first and fell in love. Then I’d have to read the book (Though most of the time cliché movies are better than the book.)
