Interview with @shineheart

What is your favorite book you have written?

I have a pretty decent amount of song/poems I have been working on. You can pick whichever one sounds the best to you. To me they are all equal. The names are "Hurry Up and Save Me", "In Your Eyes", "Lucky Strike", "In My Heart", "Electricity", "Magical" and "Kissed You Goodbye." I hope you enjoy the ones you read.

Oh gosh sorry it took so long for me to get back to you! My inbox is messing up. Hopefully you are still interested. So why do you write?

Writing is a great way to express yourself.  Writing is also a great way to say the deep emotions you feel inside. It's an opportunity for everyone to be themselves.

What was the very first story you ever wrote and when did you write it? (not just on wattpad)

Well the poem "Mistake" I wrote in May of 2012, but published it on Wattpad the day I got the account

Where do your stories come from/ what is you inspiration(s)?

My inspiration is the things around me. Television, school, music, human relationships and interactions

Who controls your story, you or the characters?

It's both working together to structure the books. I make sure to ask myself common writer questions like "Would this character say or do this?" I read my writing over and role-play as these characters.

Which idea comes to you first, the plot or the characters?

Most of the time, I will be looking at pictures and then I will think of a story to go along with a picture.

Is writing just a hobby for you or would you like to become a full time author?

It is a hobby.

How often do you read and what type of books?

I read as often as I can. I enjoy reading Teen Fiction and Top Sellers. In my spare time I enjoy reading Poetry

Who is your favorite published author? Why? Who is your favorite wattpad author? Why?

Janet Gurtler because her books always have such an interesting plot and they aren't set up so it's like another teen fiction novel. On Wattpad my favorite author is@colourfulsprinkles because her books have not just an interesting title, but an interesting cover picture.

Do you plan out your stories or just get an idea and start writing?

I get an idea and begin writing, but if I am busy during the day then in my head I will plan it out

Were you taught how to write a story or did you teach yourself?

My teachers in school taught me about proper story writing so I used that.

I also have friends who will correct my grammar mistakes

When you get stuck on a story, how do you re-inspire yourself?

I look back to what inspired me to write this book in the first place, but sometimes that doesn't work so I give that story sometime and move on to another story. In the future I will go back and write that story.

Are you a logical person or more the creative type?

When I am not writing I am a more logical person, but in my writing I try to be very creative.
