What is your inspiration?
@thefallsofgrace- Everything around me. I am a people watcher and enjoy just sitting and watching the world work through it's busy day, but I'm not doing nothing. My mind is constantly creating characters or scenarios based solely on something as simple as a color. Anything can inspire me, but usually it is the little things.
@fight_love_dance- I have lots of inspirations. Anything can inspire me. Nature, music, books, movies, dreams, my friends and daydreams. Sometimes even nightmares can inspire me. Lol
@PancakeJune- My story ideas can start from a simple daydream; an inanimate object; my real life experiences; things I love doing; everything. When I listen to music and I have some relaxation time, that's when a story comes to me. The ideas can come from anything but when I have time to relax everything just flows. From that, I suppose the whole world is my inspiration, everything can be made into a story, a poem, a simple sentence or a long paragraph.
@CaptainJackAttack- Well, being the aspiring film maker that I am, I get my ideas from movies. The plots, twists, character depth. All of it from movies. I try to think of my books as movies since that's something I can relate to more. I try to think of something I could see as interesting enough to be made into a movie.
@Sepherene- Inspiration for my stories come from everywhere at any time. Movies, songs, nature...a lot of things hold significance to how I develop my stories and characters.
@Iron_Angel- Well I read a book of my friend's that inspired me to write one of my fanfictions. Other than that reading other people's stories inspire me to write the things that I am writing. Currently I am writing another story because I read the book: "Not your Prince Charming" Which is available on wattpad.
@xoxBrightNightxox- My stories come from my everyday life situations. Sometimes when I am just lying down and thinking about stuff I get new ideas for my chapters. I get inspired by music a lot. Music and me are buddies for life! :P
@MissCharmedCat- To be honest, I just let words and feelings flow from my fingertips - apart from certain films, I don't have any inspirations.
@FloatingLights- Stories, not so often, pop into my head when I listen to a song that struck a nerve in me, hitting me right in the centre of my heart. Or in other cases, ideas come to me when I go through old family photos/ footage, books, and/or movie trailers. I don't think inspiration can really be written down, or said. Generally, it can't be expressed or stated. It is something so unique and exquisite that words are somehow too simple for it/them to be your inspiration. But, music and books have always played a major role in my life. After my parents split up, when I was about 1 and a half I've had this hole in my heart that needed mending, and music and books somehow new how to heal me. They understood what needed to be said, and how it needed to be said. The characters spoke words of wisdom that somehow revealed the rage and fury I felt about my father.
@will24951- Well many things, movies, people, music. But they don't make stories they just impart there essence onto a story. Making a story is hard, but so rewarding. But, inspiration can come from many things, maybe even just a still in a movie, just a word in a song. What’s great is combining all these inspiring things to make something in itself truly inspirational.
@BmaieF- My inspiration is pretty much everything around me, when I was a kid we went through a rough patch and my main toy was my imagination, I was constantly playing princesses and mermaids with my childhood friends so I suppose most of my inspiration comes from my imagination.
@ShaylaRah- A lot of things - films/books/TV series, music, pictures, things that happened to me or people I know, dreams, even things I dislike.
@shineheart- My inspiration is the things around me. Television, school, music, human relationships and interactions
@Repunzel2013- Usually my stories come from my dreams; both the ones I have while I’m asleep and my hopes for the future. My ideas also come from things like movies, books, even real life. I see something and think 'what if...?' that’s how the story develops. Most of the characters have a piece of me in them; whether that be big or small. I think this happens with a lot of authors though. Even if it's subconscious you end up writing with your opinions and sharing your experiences
