Chapter 1- Drag Races

The smell of gas fumes filled the air. A crowed of humans and angels gathered at the first turn of the dirt and gravel three mile long race track. Three mustangs sat in-front of a long outstretched red ribbon. One was painted in silver with feathered wings for side mirrors, that was the angel's car. The one on the left was painted in gold, having been modified to keep up with the angels' car, that was the human ride. The third one, the one in the middle, was painted a light silver-ish purple. No one is sure who that car races for, but it has been proven that it doesn't race for the angels nor humans. On the other hand, everyone knows the driver.

The engines roar from the three cars as the drivers are eager to start. The crowd erupts into shouts, cheers, whistles, wing beats, and air horns. The humans yell and blow air horns. The angels beat their wings and shout at their own racer.

Soon an angel with blue wings, cropped teal hair, and gray eyes still filled with so much life , hovers over the front of the middle car. She has a flag stripped with silver and gold. She waves it and the yelling gets louder.

"Racers, are you ready?!" she shouts, no doubt using her powers to make the crowd quieter. the engines of the cars reply for the racers.

"then, get ready..."

The racers exchanged quick glances to each other and press the gas pedals while still holding the brakes, making black burn marks on the gravel and dirt track.

"get set..."

The racers put on their helmets and gripped the steering wheel even tighter then before. The angel gets cocky and only puts one hand on the wheel and even leans his seat back to relax. He was taking it as another easy win, his powers of speed and manipulation making it too easy to win.

"GO!" the blue angle yelled and the racers sped off. However, she was caught off guard by the sudden rush of wind from the cars and started doing somersaults in midair. Another angel flew up to stop her before she crashed into the finish line's pole.

All three cars were neck and neck until around the first turn. Clearly the angel and human had the same idea because they both sped off around the turn and toward the next turn at unnatural speed. The third car was left behind.

Almost.

The purple car rocketed past the other two kicking up dust and clouding the windshields of the two cars. When they were able to see again, they had drove clear past the turn. The human was in shock, and the angel in a rage. Both racers flung their car around and high tailed it back to the finish point. Only to see the mystery car was already their. Parked on the side of the track.

The angel jumped out of his car and flew over to the purple one. Two other angels from the crowd followed him. The angel thumped on the top of the car, waiting for an answer. When there was none, he landed by the drivers door and looked through the opened window.

"hey, Roger. What in the world were you trying to do back-" he froze.

Laying across the driver and passenger seat was the driver, Roger. His eyes starred at the ceiling of the car, clouded and lifeless.Bite marks covered his arms and legs. His throat had been torn out, the stomach ripped open and the organs everywhere. Blood soaked must parts of the seats.

But on top of it all, a note laid on top of the wheel. The front was written on in blood, it had the Angels' name on it. The angel picked it up and placed it in his pocket quickly. He backed up from the car, still shocked by the sight.

"Medic," he yelled, "Someone get the medic!"

Most of the angels flew over and a few humans that knew a few medical things ran over as well. The teal haired angel yelled over to the angel and human car repair team. "Call Head Angel Fiona and President Springs. They need to see this."

The humans and angels scrambled to make the calls. But the angel pulled one of the humans over. "and you." she said, making her voice low so only the human would hear. "called the unholy one...we need answers. Fast." then she few away.
