Chapter 3- Flawless Hybrid
"Looks like Davey has a grip on ye, 'caption' Echo." The demon snickered. Bending over Echo, her fangs bared. Demons and Angels canceled each other out, so only their abilities determined who won. "Oh, why so sad? You knew the Demon uprising was coming, yet ye kept me here..." She paused, thinking carefully over her words. "Showed me weaknesses of yer crew and ship. Even showed some of yer own weaknesses. And if I remember, ye can't hold anything against me with yer powers.. At least not right now."
The demon knew Echo's powers better then anyone. Sadly, others were to stupid to see her powers were right in her name. Echo. Able to relive any past events she has experienced and she is able to see all the history in a 4mile radius has. (Hint hint, the wave back there.)
Echo coughed blood. Starring the demon straight in her eyes. "You forgot that I showed you kindness and friendship. I treated you like we were equal and I saw beyond the toothed smile and demonic eyes.." Echo swallowed hard, trying to keep her blood within her. "Funny. I didn't even notice your horns and tail till now."
"Well they're better at other things. They just don't hide from view." The demon replied. Her tail wrapping around Echo's throat and holding her eye level with the demon. The demon grabbed her sword from its place in Echo's holster. Slowly and expertly guiding the sword to the between Echo's eyes.
"Hmm...Which one?" The demon smirked, and moved the sword back and forth in front of each eye. "Catch an angel by the wings, if they yell break their halo, then rip the wings with all your might, send them to hell, kill them off again and again...watch them bleed and be their friend."
The sword stops on Echo's left eye.
"Not." The demon said, moving the sword to her right eye. Sliding it under the lower eye lid, the demon moved it in slowly and started to push the handle down.Echo didn't cry, she didn't scream, she didn't try to stop it. The demon had been right, she was all Davey's now. No one would save her, the dead of night had happened and was now starting to turn to the light of dawn. Her crew was still asleep, the watch... Well, the sailor on watch duty was right in front of her. Tearing out her eye.
The demon moved the sword in a full circle in the circumference of Echo's eye. Taking the eye lids with it.Then Echo's marks started glowing an erie light pale purple color and the demon dropped the sword. The eye, fully white and now starting to turn to ash, fell with the sword. The blood bursts into flames on the sword but dies as quickly as it came. The eye is reduced to dust and blows away from the steady wind coming though the opened window.
The door to the cabin was flung open as Echo's call had been answered.
The demon growled and ran over to the window. "You'll regret this Echo. I'll send my sister back for you, and then I'll make your life a living hell." The demon's smile grew as she stood on the windowsill, turning to face Echo and her bleeding eye socket.
"See you in Davey Jones Locker." The demon cackled, then fell backwards into the water. Disappearing with the tide. Her words and laughter were the only thing that filled the air."See Echo? I told you demons weren't to be trusted.." Ty said, "let's get a bandage on that eye."
Ty made his body shift between steel and skin. Testing his flexibility each time. Getting better at running, jumping, and dodging to get used to the feel of steel as skin.
Echo had been teaching him how to use his powers. They are not very difficult, it's just hard to move sometimes. And a moving target is harder to hit, even harder when their entirely made of steel.
