Chapter 5- Death and Demons

Ty watched as the bar tender came closer. Laying a glass of some crimson red liquid down in front of the girl. Next he came over to stand in front of Ty.

"Came I get you anything, sir?" The man asked.

"Do you have any suggestions on the drinks?" Ty asked, hoping this worked.

"A few, sir. There's-" The bartender was cut off.

"Get him a glass of Elemental Eclipse. And just put it on my tab, Will." The girl, Jinx, said. Not even looking up from her glass until the bartender went away.

"Uh, thanks." Ty said, "you didn't have to do that."

She only smiles, her pearl white teeth only a spec behind her lips. "Your new around here. So obviously you don't know." Jinx said, finishing off her glass. "I buy every cute newcomer a drink."

"Five minutes, Ty." Echo said, sounding annoyed.

The bartender came back and set a glass of clear liquid in front of Ty, then walked away to clean some glasses.

"I hope your not planning on leaving soon." Jinx said, "it takes awhile to kick in."

Ty took a small sip of it, it tasted like honey mixed with rainwater, but also fire peppers and milk. It tasted like heaven, not that he knew what heaven was like. He'd have to ask Echo and get her to try this. He drank the rest in one gulp.
"What kind of affects does it have?" Ty asked.

"Humans can't really handle it, usually dying of alcohol poisoning a few hours later. Angels get super drunk off of the thing, one glass can make even a born angel get drunk off their ass." Jinx paused, thinking for a moment. "Then elves go either way, just depends how much they have."

Ty knew she thought he was a born angel, not having wings anyway but still having the skin color and powers. "Good thing I'm not a human dressed as an angel then." He joked.

"I knew you weren't, your halo may not be seen by all..." She smiled, showing sharp teeth. "But I see who you really are."

The room started spinning and Ty felt like he wanted to curl into a ball and never wake up. But he couldn't, or Echo would burn the place down.
With Him in it.

Ty felt something slip into his pocket. "There's the information you wanted. I hope it helps and you succeed." She said.

He gave a small nod. The room never stopping to give him a break.

Then, what the girl did next was the most shocking. Her voice changed to sound exactly like Ty's voice. She took the ear piece out of his ear and spoke into it softly. "Burn it up, Echo."

He froze, how did she know who was waiting on him?

Jinx crushed the ear piece in her gloved hand and vanished.

Ty heard everyone yell and then run out of the building. He tried to get up as well, but fell onto his knees. The smoke thick in the air already and still growing.

"What kind of dam fire is this?!" Ty coughed out, doubling over.

As soon as the heat came, Ty turned to steel.

〰〰〰

Ty's ear piece wasn't on him when Echo brought him into the house.

"Probably fell off as you were dragging him." Lane said, wiping the rest of the ashes off of Ty's unconscious form.
