Chapter 2

"I know this is all of a sudden, but I moved back"
No dip Sherlock as if I can't see that
"Sorry I never really contacted you I was really busy"
"Um, it's fine, so what brings you here?"I asked still in shock.
Your probably wondering why this is so awkward for me well it all started when I was in 8th grade. I was a normal 14 year old. Cole was an old family friend because we went to the same church as younger kids. Our family's were really close. In fact, our parents used to describe us as a un separate-able duo. But as we got older I developed feelings for him, besides he probably didn't feel the same way. That all changed though, because his dad got a transfer to California, and I met my Best Friend Melanie and forgot all about him. apparently he's back now  which leads us to now.
"When we moved to California we were financially  fine the first few years, until everything went downhill and my dad lost his job, so we decided to move back home."
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that, but welcome back" I replied. Trying to sound enthusiastic,
Just then the bell rang
" so I'll see you around" he said. And with that I left to go to my first period.

What the heck just happened I thought to myself

During lunch-

I got my lunch kit from my locker and started walking to the cafeteria with Melanie.
"Omg" she giggled.
What are you laughing at? I asked as I turned around. She was on her phone.
"Nothing"
she replied back and quickly locked her phone.
"Melanie are keeping a secret from me?"
I questioned.
"No" she was blushing, something was definitely up. I decided that I would just wait for her to tell me herself instead of asking.

"hey"

a voice said from behind me. i spun my head to have my eyes meet Eric's. He walked up next to me and smiled that signature smile of his. I have to admit every time he smiles I feel millions of butterfly's flying around my stomach, but I got sidetracked from my thoughts when I felt Eric link his hand with mine as we walked. i could have sworn I felt tingles up my arm when he touched me. I glanced over at Melanie she gave me two thumbs up.

After school Melanie and I decided to go to the mall. She needed to by a dress for a dance recital, I decided to tag along. We walked into Macy's to look at some dresses
"So Jade I wanted to tell you something that's been happening recently "
Melanie started.
"What's on you mind Melanie" I said in a very funny tone.
"So you know Eric's Best friend Blake, well we've been talking and I think he's going to ask me out."
She said really quickly.
"OH MY GOODNESS I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU DIDNT TELL ME THIS!!" I said a little, too loudly.
Melanie giggled and shushed me.
"Well I mean it's not official but I hope he does"
I just squealed with delight.

The next morning in school I was at my locker emptying out my backpack, the usual. Until I saw Eric walking up to me.
"Hey can u meet out at the atrium during lunch?"
He asked
"Sure" I smiled back and with a nod he left. I quickly walked to my first period.

Before lunch I told Melanie about what Eric said. Right now I'm walking to the atrium.
I get there to see Eric waiting for me.
"Hey so you needed to see me?"
I asked as u waited for him to speak I got lost in his eyes again, man that gets me every time.
"Um yeah I wanted to ask you something really important...um.... Will you be my girlfriend."
He said. I was honestly surprised, and excited."yes"
I gushed.
I know your think about why Everything is going by fast but it actually mad since about him asking me to be his girlfriend because I mean me and Eric used to be really good friends, like the kind that you can talk to if ur upset, the strange thing was that even though all the girls liked him I didn't have an "obsession" with him like they did. So I was surprised when he asked me out and to be his girlfriend.
