Chapter 3

The next morning I got a text from Eric:
I'll pick u up at ur place at 8 for our first date;)
I smiled. Well this will be fun.
Right now I'm hoping mom clean the house because mom invited Cole and his family.. My room is already clean as always. Right now, mom dad, and Jet left to get some last minute groceries. So its Just me in the house. I decided to listen to music while i work. As I shuffled through my music list I came across my favorite song Cake By The Ocean. I cranked up the volume and started cleaning/dancing.
I even used a broom as a mic, but my mini concert was interrupted By a knock on the window. I looked around
scared and startled.

Then all of a sudden a see a face and I realize it's Cole. Who is laughing hysterically. My cheeks flush red, and I walk over to him and open the front door.

"Hey"

he said between laughs.

"hey" I replied back embarrassed.

"So enjoying your little concert, eh" he smirked.

"Yes until i was rudely interrupted by YOU."

"Wow, you care that much about me that your cleaning the house for me, I mean I know u love me but try not to obsess over me too much" he laughed.

" HAHAHA very funny you think i did this for YOU!!!"
I laughed in his face.

"By the way your here pretty early" I stated.
"Well I wanted to surprise you but it was the other way around"
He laughed.
"So do you need any help, other than when you dance?"
He smirked.
"No"
I laughed back.

After eating dinner with Cole's family Cole suggested we go play tennis at the tennis court in the park. I have to admit tennis is not really my thing since I can't play that really well. But Cole suggested it after I beat him in basketball and baseball. When we got to the park We walked straight over to the tennis court.
"Get ready to loose Dickens"
Cole yelled as he ran to the other side of the net.
After I failed multiple times trying at hitting the ball Cole saw my frustration and walked over to me. See the thing with me is that if I can't get something done especially in sports I try until I get it right.
"You need help?" He quietly asked.
"Yes" I sighed.
"Here" he started as he walked behind me. He bent down behind me in a position where his chin was between my neck and my shoulder. Then he put his arms around me and grabbed the racket.
" so your going to hold it with your left hand, and place your index finger on your right hand on the flat base of the racket. Then your going to close your hand on the grip, then swing." He looked down at me and smiled. He face was mere inches from mine, but I just kept starring into ocean blue eyes and he did the same. We just made eye contact for like five minutes. Until I was interrupted in my thoughts.

I'm going to be late for my date with Eric
I thought.

" Um Cole I have to go somewhere and I'm going to be late I think we should head back now."
"Ok"
Cole answered quietly looking a little disappointed.
