Chapter 14

I came to a halt when I heard Melanie calling me.

"Jade what happened why are you leaving?"

"I broke up with Eric."
I said quietly.

"why?"
She asked putting an arm around my shoulder.

"Turns out the asking me to prom thing and being his girlfriend was part of some stupid dare"

I answered.

"That Shallow Jerk!"

"Melanie could you please drop me off at home"
I Wasn't ready to talk about this, my brain was still recollecting after what happened

"Sure"
she said giving me a smile.

The next morning I woke up feeling really depressed. So I decided to stay at home and watch some tv. I really was still upset about last night and I really needed a shoulder to cry on, but I was better off keeping my feeling inside then to bother someone by mopping So I tried to distract myself, but nothing worked.

A couple of minutes after watching Pretty little Liars I heard the doorbell ring.

"Hey!"
I looked up to see Cole smiling as he walked inside.

I have know idea how or why but I just couldn't keep my feeling bottled up anymore. I wanted to rant and cry and that's exactly what I did.

Yup I started crying like an idiot right on the spot

Of course Cole didn't know what the heck was going on.

"Whoa Jade why are you crying, what happened?"
Cole asked pulling me into a hug.

"E-Eric p-pretended to like me, it was all part of some stupid d-dare."

"What? That little- Jade you didn't need him anyway he's nothing but an idiot"
Cole said lifting up my chin and wiping away my tears.

"Thanks Cole Your the best"

I said pulling him into a hug.

"I know."
He answered smirking.

I rolled my eyes

When Cole came over a couple Hours later Melanie dropped by. Cole decided to leave because he thought it would be awkward listening to us fangirling over celebrities.
After a couple of minutes Melanie spoke.

"Jade did you ever think that You and Eric breaking up was..I don't know a sign?"

"Why would you say that?"
I asked.

"Well since we both know that Eric never really loved you, I'm assuming that you never loved Eric?"
She asked.

"I don't even know what love really is."
I answered.
"See that's where your wrong geez Jade do I have to point out everything to you!"

She laughed.

I gave her a confused look.

What the heck was she talking about.

"Look Jade there is someone who loves you.......and that someone is Cole."

"What? That isn't true Cole doesn't love me he's my friend."

"Jade your confusing yourself, I see it in his eyes whenever he's with you but he just never says it, and you seem so much happier when your with him."

Now that I think about I think she was right. I mean yes Eric made me happy but Cole has been doing that ever since we met.

"I think your right."
"I know I am"
she answered laughing.
"But what do I do now?"
I asked.Honestly I was really confused.

"Well you go to him and tell him Duh!"
She said.
"What if he thinks of me as his friend?"

"Trust me Jade he doesn't."
