Chapter 7

" Mom! "
I shouted as I entered my house. I walked over to the kitchen to see her cooking.
"Hey Jade, how was school"
"Good"
"So mom,
I started .
.." There's this party tonight and I was wondering if I could go,"
Mom gave me a confusing look.
"Jade you know how your father is about high school party's and not to mention me."
"But mom the entire student body will be there"
I stated.
Mom thought for a moment. Then she finally asked.
"Is Cole going?"
She asked bluntly.
"Yeah, why"
"Well i can talk to your father about letting you go with Cole if his parents are okay with it"
"Really mom?"
I asked she nodded
"Thanks"
And with that I ran up the stairs to pick out what I would wear.
I quickly opened my closet and found the perfect outfit.
It was a really cute whit lace blouse with a pair of shorts. I know what your thinking, she's really wearing that to a party? The answer is yes because I've never been the kind of girl to wear dresses at party's or dances.
I quickly pulled it out.

I heard mom calling my name.
" Jade, sweetie I talked to your farther and said its fine if Cole goes with you, and I talked to Cole's mom and he's on his way"
"Ok thanks mom"
I had already gotten ready and Cole should be here in less than ten minute. I waited.

Cole's P.O.V.
20 minutes ago my mom told me that I had to pick up Jade to go to  party with me. I'm actually ok with it considering the fact that she is one of my closest friends. Which I'm really thankful for because before I left we were so close and I actually developed feelings for her, but I was forced to think other wise because my dad had gotten a promotion and it was a big decision for him, and he needed our support the most. I didn't want my feelings to get in the way of his career. Besides, I highly doubt Jade felt the same way. I was interrupted in my thoughts by my phone ringing I looked at the contact it was Jade. I quickly answered.
"Hello?"
She spoke.
"Hey"
I said back
"Oh I just wanted to let you know that I'm ready so you can come now"
"Yeah ok I'm on my way."
"Thanks"
"No problem"

I walked up to Jade's doorstep and rang the bell. I was surprised to see that she had answered the door in less than 2 minutes. Though when I looked at her in her outfit my heart skipped a beat. She looked absolutely stunning. The fact that she didn't wear real girlie clothing was one of my favorite things about her. Wait a minute, I thought, is it possible that I still like Jade.before I could answer my own question. Jade spoke,
"So are we going to go or are we going to stay here all night?"
She laughed.
"Oh um of course not"
I said feeling a little embarrassed.

When we got to the party I could tell Jade was a little nervous. Just by looking at her expression.
"Hey," I said softly "don't be so nervous every it's just a party." I said giving her a nudge.
She replied by nudging me back and taking a breath.
Jade's P.O.V.
We both walked to the door or what used to be the door I guess, because the whole place was ruined. Trash was everywhere and the smell of alcohol filled the room.
Followed Cole because to be honest in a place like this I wouldn't really want to stand alone. As I walked around I saw some of my friends calling me over.
"Hey Cole you can go hang out with your friends I'll be here" I shouted over the music.
"Ok, Call me if you need anything"
He said and with that he left. I guess that's one of the traits I had always admired in Cole. He was so caring maybe That's why my parents trust him so Much.
I was interrupted in my thoughts by someone walking over to me. I looked up to see A boy. Aaron Aguilar. One of Eric's friend. I could tell he was drunk because he smelled of alcohol. I don't really hang around people like him so I'm really confused about why he's here.
"Heeyy Jade"
He slurred.
"Hey"
I said back.
"You wanna dance"
He asked grinning
"Um no I'm goo-"
Before I could finish what I wanted to say Aaron yanked my hand and pulled me to the dance floor.
I was so uncomfortable I struggled to leave his grip but there was no use.
"GET OFF" I shouted.
I tried hitting him back but it was no use.
I shut my eyes.I really hope Cole will show up.
"HEY!"
I heard someone shout. I looked and I was relieved to see Cole. He walked over to us.
"HEY GET OFF HER!"
Cole shouted. Cole looked furious as he grabbed my hand and pulled me behind him. I was startled, so I stood behind.
"Why she's not your girlfriend?"
Aaron snapped back.
Cole turned to me.
"Are you okay he didn't hurt you did he?"
Cole asked, his faced full with concern.
I just shook my head. Cole then turned around to face Aaron.who pushed Cole. "Jade why don't you go hang out with your friends out front I'll come meet you there" Cole stated not moving his gaze from Aaron. As he pushed him back. I wanted to retaliate but I frankly I was too scared , I've never seen Cole so angry.
I quickly excluded myself from the "scene" that was being created.

I wonder what's going on. Right now.
