Chapter 1
"Api! Api! Api! Get up,nah" yelled the two monsters as they jumped up and down on Inayah's bed
"I am up! I am up!" Groaned Inayah rubbing her eyes sitting up
"Where is Sara baji, Bilal and why are you both not ready?" Asked Inayah looking between Bilal and Mahira, the two monsters in her little family
Sara enters ready for school
"Api, I told this two monsters I will get them ready but they didn't listen and wanted you to get them ready." Complained Sara
"It's okay Sara, but did you read fajr and let me make some breakfast and I'll drop you off" Inayah told Sara
Sara replies saying she read her prayers and will wait in the hall.
Inayah did her business in the bathroom and gets ready. Today she decided to wear her blue maxi dress and her blue hijab. Afterwards she hurried into their small kitchen. She recalls the day she came to see the apartment with her Taiyabu (Dad's Elder Brother)
*Flashback*
"Welcome Sir and Madam, please feel free to look around" greeted the house agent
It was a 2 bedroom and 2 bath apartment. There was a decent kitchen and Hall. There was a balcony in one of the rooms which gave an amazing view of the lake side. It wasn't as big as her old house, actually it was nowhere near as big as her old house which her parents had bought.
" I'm sorry *beta (son) it isn't as big as your old house" apologized Taiyabu
"No No Taiyabu, this is amazing and enough for us four and we appreciate you paying for the apartment. Insha'Allah (if god wills) when I get my salary I will pay you back." Replied Inayah
"Are you crazy? Pay me back for what? I am doing this for my late brother's kids who are my kids. Don't even think about paying me back! Understood?!" Exclaimed Taiyabu
Inayah nods and says " I am sorry Taiyabu" and side hugs him
"It's okay my bacha (daughter) I wish you all could live with us but that wife of mine doesn't understand anything" Taiyabu says disappointedly
" It's okay Taiyabu, Tayami (Tayiabu's wife) is doing what she is right for her family and I agree with her" smiles Inayah
Inayah's Tayami never liked Inayah's family, when her parents were alive Tayami would never miss an opportunity to bad talk about them and when they are gone now, she is showing her hatred to Inayah and her siblings.
*Flashback ends*
"Api! Hurry I need to go early today remember?" Sara calls out
"Sorry, sorry, here are the pancakes. Eat up fast then I'll get Mahira and Bilal ready. We'll leave straight afterwards" sighed Inayah
~After breakfast~
"Hurry hurry let's go! Mahira get your backpack" yelled out Inayah
"Api, I can't find Bilal's daycare bag" Sara says
" Check in the closet in my room, he kept it there yesterday" replies Inayah
That is how Inayah's mornings began everyday after her parent's death.
