Chapter 15
Inayah's Pov:
After we arrived at the apartment I had taken Bilal while Sara woke Mahira up. I changed Bilal's clothes into his nightwear and put him on my bed since Bilal likes to sleep next to me then I went to Sara's and Mahira's room and saw that both of them had changed. Mahira was fast asleep while Sara was on her phone.
"Sara, what are you doing?"
"Nothing Api just scrolling through Instagram" She replied sitting up and putting the phone down
"How do you think he is?" I asked Sara
"Who? Zaid Jijuuu (Brother-in-law)?" she asked in a teasing voice
"Yeah and doesn't Jiju sound a bit weird to you?"
"It sure does. I just said Jiju to annoy you. I already asked him what he wants us to call him and he said bhaijaan. The hyderabadi way" Sara says laughing
"Shhhh, Mahira is sleeping if u forgot my dear sister and answer my question!"
"Okay,Okay! He is..." she pauses and I nod for her to continue "He is...." Okay this girl is teasing me.
"Okay fine don't tell me" I say getting up to leave only to be pull back down in sitting position on the bed
"Sorry, sorry. Api, he seems like a really nice person. He was trying to get to know us instead of you. He even joked around with us. I am really happy with your decision of marrying Zaid bhaijaan." I smile as she says this cause I am only doing this for my munchkins.
"Okay now go to sleep, you have school tomorrow" I get up front the bed and bend down to kiss her forehead and walk over to Mahira and kiss her as well.
"Shabkhir Api" Sara greets me goodnight
"Shabkhir Sara" I greet her back as I close the bedroom light and close the door
I walk back to my room and make sure Bilal is sound asleep and take my phone as I walk into the balcony. I conference called Zainab, Sumaira, Iqra, and Hira.
"Asalamwalakum wa rehmatulahi barkatahu guys!" Zainab greets us more like yells
"Ugh! Walaikumsalam wa rehmatulahi barakatahu" Hira greets back followed by me, Sumaira and Iqra
"Hira! I said salam before you" Zainab says to tease Hira
"Shut up" Hira says annoyed
"You guys still didn't let it go? And FYI this is a conference call so all of us are here" Iqra tells Hira and Zainab
Basically Zainab and Hira have this competition type thing that they have to say salam first and this has been going on since High School year. Which annoys all of us.
"I love you, Hira" Zainab says
"Awww I love you too" Hira says back
"If you guys are done can we go back to Inayah?" Sumaira asks
"Me? What? Huh?" I ask as soon as I hear my name
"Inaa, you visited your in-laws place today right?" Iqra asks me using the nickname they came up for me
"Yeah I did. Mashallah his family is really nice. I liked them"
"Mashallah! Alhumdillah! So how is Zaidddd?" Hira questions me which was more like a tease
"Yeah tell us!" Zainab commands
"Guys, I dont know him but from what my siblings and family said he is a really nice person"
"Insha'allah he will be the best for you,Inaa" Iqra says in a assuring tone
"Insha'allah" They all follow
"So, when is the nikah?" Hira asks and I tell them what Zaid's family and Tayabu said today. At first they were shocked since 4 days is not that long away but they understood were Tayabu and the others were coming from. We talked more about the nikah for and hour until Sumaira yawned
"Chalo (Let's go), I am sleepy" Sumaira says
"Okay, Shabakhir Allahfize" We all said to each other
