The Wolf With Wings (Editing)

Chapter Six

Jose's POV

We had just entered the room and her eyes flew open. She scanned all of our faces before trying to sit herself up. Jayden gently pushed her back down as Jordan filled and gave her a cup of water. She gulped it down before asking how long she had been out.

"It's been three day since we last saw you awake" Derek said as he looked at his sister with pure happiness in his eyes. I felt a small pang in my heart as she returned the look. I knew she was never going to look at me the same way.

I looked at her and the memory of what she said before she blacked out came back into my head and my wolf whimpered in pain. I took one last look at her smiling at her brothers and back with us.

I memorized everything about this moment about her before leaving the room with out anyone noticing. This was the last time I was going to see my precious little mate. She was right after all I was being selfish and I should have thought about my mate first but I didn't and that is why I will obey her wishes for the first time and leave her be.

Each step I took felt like a weight was added to my shoulders. I wanted so badly to turn around and kiss the life out of her. To love her and have her love me but that was not gonna happen. Hopefully with time maybe we could try again slowly. That small sliver of hope is what made me able to walk away from her now.

I made it to the stairs where my beta was waiting for me. He looked at me and gave me a reassuring look before patting my shoulder.

"Todo esta listo" (everything is ready)

I simply nodded not being able to form words from the pain in my chest. I had to put up a strong front and lead my pack even though inside I was breaking.

I walked out the door fully and looked at my pack. They looked sympathetically at me because they could feel the pain I was feeling as well. The pain of not having a Luna lead the pack next to me.

I sighed before shifting with the rest of my pack. I took a couple of strides until I got to the edge of the woods. My pack went ahead while I took one last look at the pack house that I thought would be my home.

Finally ripping my eyes off the pack house I dug my nails into the ground before pushing my self forward.

Adiós mi amor (goodbye my love)

I quickly caught up with my pack and started leading the way to our pack house.

Not even five minutes into our run one of my members said she heard someone behind us running quickly toward us.

I immediately started taking action and ran to the back so I could defend my pack. My ears perked up as I could hear the wolf get closer.

I hunched down a little bit as I got ready to attack who ever it was coming for my pack. I was taken by surprise when this pure white wolf was visible through the trees.

I stood up as I thought I recognized the wolf. It couldn't be, the only wolf I knew to be white didn't want anything to do with me.

It slowed as it got closer as if to not startle us. She didn't look at my pack as her eyes only concentrated on me. I tilted my head in confusion before growling in warning as she was getting to close. She smelt like my mate and looked like my mate but I couldn't take the chance that this was all an illusion my wolf was playing on me.

She immediately stopped and tilted her own head before realization hit her and slowly wings were spreading out wide.

My eyes widened in shock at my mate actually being here. As if she knew I believed it she slowly started taking steps towards me. Not once did she take her eyes off of mine.

My pack slowly gave us space before bowing to their Luna in respect and leaving us alone. I did not move for fear of scaring her or ruining the moment like before.

Once she got close enough her wings delicately tucked themselves against her body. She looked me in the eyes before putting her head against my neck and nuzzling herself in my fur.

I stiffened at the unexpected movement before placing my head over hers gently and filling my nose with her sweet scent.

We stayed like that for what felt like years but was actually only moments before she pulled back and shifted right in front of me.

I looked anywhere but at her as she stood in all her glory in front of me. Every fiber in my being wanting to do the complete opposite.

"Jose? Can you shift back so we can talk?" Her soft voice spoke

I quickly shook my wolf head at her as I kept my eyes on the trees around us.

"Jose your my mate and we are going to have to see each other fully naked at some point." She said taking a step towards me.

I took a step back before staring straight into her beautiful eyes. She nodded and smiled at me as if to reassure me that she was serious.

I huffed before focusing on my human self as my bones realigned themselves. I stayed hunched down and I didn't dare look at her. I could smell her heat even from a distance. Though it was faint that's all my wolf concentrated on. Horny bastard

She tried to move closer to me but I quickly said no.

"Jose I am so sorry for what I said before I blacked out." Her voice was strained as if she was in slight pain but I couldn't look at her for fear of my wolf taking over and claiming her here in the forest floor.

"I..I was mad and I said things that I didn't mean. I don't want to lose my mate for something stupid that I said. I... I love you." My head snapped up so fast I thought I had given myself whip lash. Did she just say she loved me?

"What?" I questioned not taking my eyes off her face my heart seemed to stop as I couldn't believe what I heard.

She laughed slightly before locking eyes with mine. Her eyes seem to soften and a slight blush crept on her cheeks.

"I love you Jose, I just hadn't had enough courage to say it yet. I was scared to admit it because I thought you would leave. I mean the love my parents had for each other caused them to leave each other and it caused them both a lot of pain. I realized you wouldn't when I woke up because you were still by my side even after I said all those things to you. You stayed and made sure I was okay before leaving."

I couldn't believe what I heard. I stood up and took long strides until she was in arms reach before grabbing her and pulling her body close to mine.

I looked deeply into her eyes as I cupped her face with one hand and the other went down to her waist to keep her body close. I gently rubbed my thumb on her hip sending sparks from my body to hers. She gasp at my sudden actions before holding her breath.

"I love you too mi Reina." (My queen) I said before connecting our lips together in a well needed kiss.
