For Taina:

"Come on Taina you're gonna make us late again!" Jack shouted, aggravated, banging on my bedroom door. I rolled my eyes and resumed checking myself out in the mirror that was hanging on my door. I had to settle in the black shirt and white jeans because my brother was right, we were going to be late for school again. I gave one last quick look and silently complained. I was trying to dress to impress, I ended up just looking like a try-hard.

We rolled into the parking lot two minutes late and Jack hopped out of the car, not bothering to wait on me any longer. I followed his path and walked into the school doors. We walked into the office to get a tardy pass, "Gilinsky you're late, again" the secretary scolded my brother.

"How about trying the other Gilinsky?" He angrily replied, referring to me. I scoffed and grabbed my pass from the wooden desk. I quickly exited the office, and made my way  to my locker.

I looked to my left and saw Matt strolling through the hall towards me. I smiled immediately, "Don't you have a class to get to?" He joked. I playfully shoved him and he leaned against the lockers, "Are we hanging after school or what?" He asked.

I tensed up, "You know how Jack is Matt, I don't want him to find out and it's getting a little suspicious"

He whined and grabbed my books from my hand, "Well if I'm not gonna see you for awhile then I'm gonna need one last kiss to hold me over" he bargained. I scanned the halls and caved in, leaning towards the mysterious boy and planting a soft kiss on his lips.

"What the hell?" I heard. I quickly disconnected my lips and turned my head to see a furious Jack Gilisnky. He was quickly advancing to Matt and before I knew it he had his fists gripped around his shirt, "That's my little sister you asshole" he shouted in Matts face.

"Calm down" Matt pleaded. Soon teachers and students walked out of their classrooms to check out the commotion.

"Calm down? Your sneaking around kissing my sister and you want me to calm down" he added. Jack unclenched his grip and immediately swung his arm to punch Matt's cheek. The impact threw him to ground but he stood up and mimicked Jack, swinging a punch back and hitting him in the jaw. I was struck in panic, like everyone else witnessing this overdramatized fight. A teacher stepped in and broke it up, grabbing the boys and carrying them to the office. They exchanged horrible words on the trip down, sending threats and curse words.

I was also escorted down, being a witness and cause of the fight. We all three sat in the room, awaiting our fates for the rest of the school year. There was an awkward tension in the room as none of the boys would even look in same direction.

"I wouldn't have been mad if you would have just told me in the first place but sneaking around is seriously so fucking third grade" Jack finally spoke. I had to silently agree with my older brother, he had a right to know if his friend and sister had been seeing each other.

"I'm sorry Jack" I said, "You had a right to know"

"No he didn't" Matt protested, "my love life is my own and I don't owe him shit" I glared at him and he just shrugged.

"He has a point" Jack agreed, surprising me. My head ached so much I just prayed I could go home so I don't have to think anymore.

"Taina" the secretary called, ushering me into the principals office.

"Work this out before I get back please" I begged the two beaten boys. They nodded their heads and I hesitantly walked into the office.
