The girl group name for "Produce 101″ has been revealed.
According to an affiliate on April 1, the top 11 trainees in "Produce 101″ will be debuting as a group under the name IOI, symbolizing the number "101."
This name was made due to the suggestions from audiences and fans. When the staff asked fans about what the girl group name should be, many of them wanted "101″ to still remain in the name.
Mnet responded to the revealing of the girl group name, saying, "The name was decided upon evaluating all of the audiences' opinions. It will be revealed during the live broadcast of the show."

Mnet has announced the confirmed and finalized name of their upcoming girl group which will derived from 11-trainees from their show Produce 101.
According to broadcasters on April 1st, the girl group's name has been chosen as 'IOI' (eye-oh-eye) which represents the '101' in Produce 101.
Produce 101 aired at the beginning of the year with 101 female trainees from 46 different agencies. Competing against one another, the final Top 11 which will create the girl group will soon be chosen in the final airing this Friday on April 1st. While their debut date has been pushed back to early May, scheduled appearances for the talented 11 has already been lined up, so expect to see them on broadcast soon!

IOI (아이오아이) is a South Korean girl group under YMC Entertainment. The members consist of Somi, Sejeong, Yoojung, Chungha, Sohye, Jieqiong, Chaeyeon, Doyeon, Mina, Nayoung, Yeonjung. They are going to make their debut in May. Stay tuned for more updates.
