I walked up to Raven's dorm room about three days after our date. I was about to knock when the door swung open to reveal a red faced, tear stained Raven. She looked at my chest, as that was where she reached at her height, and gradually looked up. She caught my eye and she looked down immediately. I put my middle finger on her jaw line and my index under her chin, lifting it up so I could see her face. I leaned in close to her and whispered in her ear. "Come with me, I have something to show you." I took her hand in mine, pulling her towards the exit. We walked off of the sidewalk and into the woods by the sorority house. We walked in and when we were almost to the chasm she fell down into, I turned sharply to the left, going around it. We walked for about five more minutes, finally coming across a cliff. There were wild flowers everywhere except one spot. In that spot was a gray and black checkered blanket, a picnic basket, plates, a candle, and a yellow rose with red tips. I heard Raven gasp as she took in the scenery. The cliff overlooked the ocean, glistening black in the moon and starlight. Fireflies danced around the flowers, almost like they were tied to them. I intertwined our fingers and led her over to the blanket, having her sit down and handing her the rose. She took it with small tears in her eyes. She tried to say something, but stopped when I placed my hand on her cheek. I leaned towards her, closing my eyes. Our lips were about two millimeters away from each other, when I felt a cold, sharp blade run through my back. My eyes snapped open, shocked and in pain. I saw Raven stop leaning forward, opening her eyes. She screamed and held my hands as the holder of the knife yanked it out of my back. I groaned in absolute agony, falling to the ground. I heard something fall to the ground with a loud thump, and turned my head. I saw the culprit on the ground next to me, her throat slit. I turned back to Raven and coughed. A metallic liquid poured out of my mouth. Blood. I looked at Raven, looking deep into her crystal blue eyes, taking in her sweet vanilla scent. I reached my hand up and tucked a loose strand of her lavender hair behind her ear. "I-I al-lways l-ov-ved y-ou..." I let out my last breath as I heard the faint sound of Ray's voice screaming. "I love you too! Please don't leave me! Auggie! No! Auggie please...please..." My last thought scurried throughout my head as my eyes closed for the last time.
I hope she finds someone amazing...
