Game  24 - You're dating him to get back at me

Dad left me alone with Silas, with an excuse that he needed to talk to my grandparents. Real great dad. I haven't seen Caleb for all I know he already left the hotel. I don't really blame him if he did, sino nga ba naman ang gustong makita yung girlfriend niya na may kausap na iba at kung parang hangin lang yung trato sa kanya ng dad ng girlfriend niya. 

So really I don't blame him. It'll be good kung umalis na rin siya. But a part of me, wanted him to stay. Stay and fight his claim. I didn't really expect him to walk away first. I didn't know him like that. He wasn't a coward. 

But he did leave.

I turned to Silas and he smiled awkwardly at me. "I'm sorry if dad forced you to be here tonight" 

Umiling iling siya at ngumiti ulit. "Don't. He didn't force me." he said. "I actually flew here in my own accord." 

Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay to continue pero hindi niya ata naintindihan kaya tinanong ko na siya. "Why?"

Nilagay niya sa may batok niya yung kamay niyang walang hawak na glass. He sighed deeply and he turned serious. "I came to see you." 

Oh? Why did he? 

"I would like to offer you a job." he said bluntly. 

Pinag-usapan namin yung trabaho na ino-offer niya sa akin and I must admit, I am tempted to say yes to the job. Pagkatapos namin mag-usap tungkol dun ay hinanap ko na si Dad. 

Nakita ko si dad na nakikipag-usap sa dad ni Elena, I waved at the waiter with the tray of champagne glasses. I took two glasses at naglakad na papunta kayla dad. 

Tumabi ako kay dad at ngumiti sa dad ni Elena. "Hi tito." I greeted. "Dad, I brought you a glass." sabi ko naman kay dad at inabot kay dad yung isang glass ng champagne. 

"Thank you Emma." Dad said at kinuha na niya sa akin yung baso. 

"Kamusta ka na Emma?" tanong ni Tito Robert sa akin. 

"Ayos lang naman tito." 

A few chit chat here and there before Tito Robert left Dad and me alone. Pagkaalis na pagkaalis ni Tito Robert, tinignan ko ng masama si Dad. 

"Don't look at me like that Emily." 

"He's engaged Dad." 

"I know. But he wanted to meet you in person and you said you liked him." Dad shrugged and sipped his champagne. "You could use your appeal to him and maybe he'd break his engagement."
