“I’m going out tonight yall!” Shalonda said sitting down on the couch with her drink in her hands.

“Going out? Didn’t you just get married last week Londa?” Jaylah asked raising an eyebrow at her.

“And that’s supposed to stop me from going out? Girl Please!” My sister Shalonda always spoke her mind. She hasn't always been like that though. Normally I was the one to always speak my mind. I'm not sure what happened these last few years but she sure has opened up.

“I can drink to that!” Zina said raising her glass to Shalonda’s. Zina was the type that was always down for anything. She was always ready to party, drink, anything....just as long as it envolved men. And this would definitely be one of those times. She never had a man longer then a month. She always claim that she is just too much for one man. She tossed her curly dark hair to the side and gulped down her drink. She then grabbed the Vodka bottle for a shot. I declare I have no idea where she puts it all.

“Wow,” I said shaking my head at them. Normally when a girl gets married she wants to spend all of her time with her husband but instead this girl is trying to go out to the club.

“So where are we going?” Zina asked.

“Club Platinum!” Shalonda sung as she got up to dance. “Yall we gonna party tonight!”

“Stop acting like a drunk hoe and sit down!” Jaylah said jokingly, “And plus I thought we were just gonna chill tonight?”

“I ain’t gonna be to many more of them so you better chill out Jay. You better be lucky you like family girl,” she said smiling at her. Jaylah smiled back.

When people first meet Jaylah they usually think she is too good to speak to people but really she's just shy. In fact I wasn't too fond of her either when we first met. The only reason I started hanging with her was because we were neighbors as kids. Its always been really funny watching her when guys are trying to speak to her. She's forever blushing and looking uncomfortable. It's really unfortunate thought because she's really pretty and can have almost any guy she wants. With her high cheek bones, beautiful blue eyes and gorgeous long blonde hair, you would think she was an model but she was surely the shy and smart school girl.

Speaking of being smart, Jaylah was smart enough to not drink realizing that she had to drive home. I wish I would have thought of that too. It felt like I was already feeling the consequences of drinking and I began to feel a slight throbbing pain in the middle of my forehead and between my eyes. I pinched my nose and began to rub gently hoping to subside the pain but, much to my dismay, it remained.

“So are yall ready to go?” Shalonda asked us setting her glass down.

“Yall go ahead. I need to go to the store to get some headache medicine real quick,” I said.

“It’ll only take a few minutes,” I added quickly when I saw Shalonda turn up her nose.

“Fine,” she said, “but meet us back here in 15 minutes. We’ll wait for you.”

“Okay,” I said grabbing my purse.

“Don’t take too long now because we will leave you!” she called out.

“Okay!” I repeated as I headed out the door.

I needed some headache medicine asap. I don’t know where the headache was coming from but it was growing stronger each second and I couldn’t go out with my girls with one. The walk was only 2 minutes so I didn’t feel the need to drive so I walked.

I neared an alley and almost regretted walking. I hated walking near allies at night. We didn’t have much crime these days but still the thought got to me. I walked past quickly and made my way into the corner store.
