"He cared for her deeply, yet she had no idea."

Finally, it's Friday. I don't have to worry about anything because it will be the weekend. I can get a way from everyone, especially Justin. I just didn't want to see him, maybe avoiding him all day would be a good idea. Though, that probably wouldn't work since he's everywhere. I think we even have a class together. Shit. I know he'll ask why I was angry. Maybe I should just act really happ-
"Ariana, you coming?" Liz's voice snapped me open to reality and interrupting my thoughts on how to avoid Justin. Justin knows I'm angry about something and theres no way I'm going to tell him why I was acting this way.
"Oh, yeah."
I didn't even realise class had ended. Liz gestured me to hurry up but in fact I did the complete opposite. I walked slowly behind her staring at the ground and eventually she turned around with a confused look
"Okay, what's up with you?" She said, snapping me away for the second time today.
"Huh?" I replied, mumbling.
"You've been acting differently ever since you walked in the classroom. What's up with you?"
"I'm feeling fine. I don't see how I'm acting differently in any way."
I was really trying not to let this annoying feeling in my stomach show on the outside but it was really hard - and it was all because of Justin. Why was he making me feel this way? I love everything about Justin, he means so much to me and I know he feels the same about me, but we are best friends that generally sleep with one another and I didn't understand why Justin flirting with other girls was making me annoyed.
"Whatever, let's go work on homework." She said dragging me to the Cafe.
We sat down at a table far away from everyone and we sat silently at first working. After what seemed like half and hour, Cole appeared. He slid in the same seat as me and I didn't blame him. Liz always picked on him, but in the best-friend way.
"Cole, you always make me feel like I'm third wheeling." Liz said, letting out a small laugh as she looked back down to her work.
"How?" He asked, running a hand through his hair as he looked over at her in interest.
"Always sitting next to Ariana. Like, you guys are the best friends that should just hook up already." She said loudly.
I really wanted to disappear in that moment. Cole was my best friend, and I her saying things like that, really made things awkward.
We sat their uncomfortably for a few long seconds and Liz sat there like she had said nothing. I felt Cole shift uncomfortably and Liz snickered."Oops, did I kill the vibe?" She asked, playing the innocent act, which I rolled my eyes playfully at,
"Shut up, Liz." I replied and Cole chuckled lightly, covering his mouth with the back of his arm.
"Though, I do need to speak to Ariana." Cole said and then glared at Liz. "Alone."
She shrugged and Cole gestured me to follow him which I did. He lead me around the corner where not many people walked by. Only a few people came by, some of them staring at us. I was interested in why Cole wanted to talk to me, since he rarely did this. Normally it was Justin or Liz.
"So what's up?" I asked.
"Well, you know how we were at the hospital and I told you I needed to ask you something?" He asked running his hand along his neck.
