THREE DAYS EARLIER

"Yeah, the college of New York offered me a spot!." Ariana spoke into the phone which had Liz on the other side, a squeal filling the air as Ariana playfully rolled her eyes.

"Yay, we're going to the same college. A best friend's wish come true."

"Very true." Ariana replied before she bit her lip in concentration as she finished signing the last of the papers, her face showing nothing but focus. She smiled happily when she signed the last sheet. "Done!"

She said her byes to Liz before rushing out to her car, the papers in her hand as she sighed.

"Now to tell Justin."

*

Not telling Justin that I had been offered a place in the college of New York was the biggest mistake I'd ever done. Because he'd been accepted in to the college of California and I was going to New York. I couldn't even describe how unhappy I was - my best friend, my boyfriend, my other fucking half would be across the other side of the country in a few months time.

I was utterly miserable - wait, it was beyond that and it showed as well. I didn't even bother with my appearance while I wore my yoga pants and a sweater. I could care less, though. I just needed to tell Justin.

Walking up to my locker, I pushed my books inside and felt two hands wrap around my waist bring a small smile to me, something I hadn't done in ages. Turning around, I faced Justin and wrapped my arms around his waist as he kissed my cheek. He looked incredibly happy and that only made me feel worse.

"You know, we need to have more shower sex because it was amazing." He stated before kissing my lips softly, making me give him a small smile. As much as I wanted to laugh - it was so hard.

"Justin!" I replied, giving him a playful look as some people gave us strange looks. "About a million people just heard you."

Instead of replying, he looked at me with concern making me furrow my eyebrows. "Have you been crying, baby girl?" He asked, making my eyes widen. It brought everything that I was miserable about back and I sighed, taking a hold of his hand.

Now was going to be the only time to tell him. I felt horrible - he looked so happy and there was no way that I wanted to ruin his day. Him being happy made me happy and that's all I wanted.

"We need to talk."

"Is everything okay, Ariana?" He asked as I pulled him along, trying to find an empty classroom or something similar to that. As soon as I found one, I shut the door and he leaned against the desk, his eyes following every move I made. I stood slightly in front of him, biting my lip nervously. "What's wrong?"

"I know you got accepted into the college of California." I spoke softly, as I met his eyes. He looked surprised and I wasn't going to bother explaining how I knew as he looked down at the ground, his expression only showed thought.

"Fuck, I completely forgot about that." He replied, meeting my eyes again. "Someone told me that you wanted to apply there to-

"I'm happy that you got in Justin. Seriously, I'm so happy. But we have a problem." I continued, mentally slapping myself for cutting him off. I felt everything come back again, all the fucking bad thoughts and my unhappy mood.
