Chapter 21
--------------------
I instantly pushed Cole away from me, looking from him to Justin. Justin's expression wasn't happy and neither was Cole's. I had no idea what to say and I had no idea what Justin was thinking. I tried to say something, anything, but my mouth wouldn't open.
Before I could process what was happening, Justin lunged forward grabbing Cole by the shirt angrily. Cole rolled his eyes and I ran forward, trying to pull them apart. Justin's jaw clenched as he eyed Cole longer. They both hated each other so much and I couldn't help but feel the guilt sitting in my stomach.
"Don't touch her." Justin breathed out. I squeezed Justin's arm softly and he looked at me. His angry eyes softened and he released Cole. "Don't touch my girl." Justin repeated. My girl. And eventhough I wasn't happy at the moment, he changed that all by saying those two words. He made me feel so much better.
Justin turned around and left inside the house. Coles eyes met mine and they were sad, but I looked away as I sighed taking in what had just happened. He walked towards me, but I took a step back. As much as I loved him as my best friend, I didn't want to be anywhere near him.
"I think you should go." I said walking towards the door. He nodded and turned around, leaving. I took one more look at him before walking inside.
Justin sat up at the bench, looking outside the window. I walked up towards him and kissed his shoulder softly. He turned around and sighed.
"I didn't want to do that to him, Ariana. But he can't do that."
"I know you didn't. I'm sorry." I said as I felt the guilt reappear. Why couldn't I just know when Cole was going to kiss me so I could've stopped him? Why didn't I just tell him that today wasn't a good day to talk?
"Don't say sorry." He replied, a smirk coming across his face. "Besides, now you know that I'm a pretty cool guy."
"I think I always knew that." I replied, wrapping my hands around his neck as he wrapped his around my waist.
""You're pretty cool too."
Am I?" I teased, biting my lip.
"Don't bite your lip if you know whats best for you." He smirked before leaving a soft kiss on my neck.
"Kiss me." I told him before lifting his chin up so his lips were close to mine. He leaned in closely, about to kiss me when the doorbell rang. He fell forward, his lips brushing against mine. He pushed me down with him and we fell on the kitchen floor. He laid on top of me. Unfortunately, I was the one underneath him in a lot of pain because a boy laid on top of me. He laughed before crashing his lips on mine. I ran my hands through his hair as he deepened the kiss. The door bell rang again and we pulled away, quickly getting up. He groaned as he went to answer the door.
-----
I rested my head gently down on the pillow. My head was full of so many thoughts, it was about to explode but right now, I was going to forget about it all and just get some sleep. My eyes slowly shut but snapped right open when someone's strong arm wrapped around my waist. I slowly smiled when I realised it was Justin.
"Hey baby, you sleeping?" He whispered against my ear and I turned around to face him.
"Yes." I groaned, hugging up to his chest and he ran his hair through my hair.
"Well, you're going to have to wake up."
Wake up? Now? At 10 at night. I know. Ten is not that late, but I am exhausted. I feel like I could sleep for over a 100 years and now I have to get up. My eyes quickly opened and I glared at him.
"Why?" I asked.
He jumped off the bed and looked out the window. "Because, I want to show you something." He replied, turning around. "I promise I'll have you back in no time."
I gave in as soon as he smiled. No boy had ever had this effect on me. No boy had ever made me feel so weak. No boy had ever made me feel this way. I groaned, pulling myself up from the bed and chucking a jumper over myself.
"It better be worth it." I replied, pushing him out the door.
As soon as we reached the streets, he pulled me close by the waist, interlocking our hands which made me smile. His big hands fit perfectly in my small ones. It's crazy how a boy who I never though would feel this way about me suddenly did and I couldn't be more happier. There was only one thing stopping me from being fully happily and that was Cole who I wish was my best friend again.
Justin turned around one corner which was near the centre of the city. It was near a whole pile of restaurants but he turned me into a path that was practically a beautiful garden. He stopped in front of the most beautiful statue of a rose. A river stood in front of it with small lights shining from each direction.
I was about to speak but Justin pressed his finger on my lips. "Just listen," He said as he grabbed my hands. "I haven't had a good chance to explain things but Ariana, I love you, okay? I was so stupid to nearly loose you. You mean so much to me and you make me a better person. All I'm trying to say is that you are perfect and I love you." He said, kissing my neck softly.
I smiled. That was all I could do because I was speechless. I grabbed his shirt and pulled it, crashing my lips on his. His hands travelled to my waist and he pulled me closer as he deepened the kiss.
I ran my hands through his hair and his tongue met mine. Every time we kissed, I could swear it got better. Every time. His lips travelled down to my neck and I whispered his name. He quickly stopped though, when footsteps were heard. I didn't care though. I was happy.
After what seemed like 10 minutes of kissing, good kissing. We decided to leave, also because it started lightly raining. We made our way back into the main city which was a bit quieter than usual. The light rain soon turned into heavy rain. We were soaked but made into to Justin's house.
"My parents aren't home. We can just stay here if you want." He said, taking his shoes off.
"Sounds perfect." I replied, biting my lip to hide the smile that was about to form.
We sat down on his bed and I watched the rain fall as Justin chucked a blanket at me. "At least we're out of the rain." He said, jumping next to me.
"Justin, can I ask you something?" I asked him nervously. There was something on my mind. It was bugging me and it wouldn't leave. So I knew I had to say something.
"Depends." He smirked.
"What changed you're mind?" I said, staring in his honey comb eyes which became confused.
"Change my mind about what?"
"Me." I told him, biting my lip as I started regretting that I said anything.
"Nothing changed my mind. I just didn't realise it. I guess I always loved you and stop making me sound cheesy." He said throwing a pillow at me.
As cheesy as it did sound, it was well said. Well enough for me, at least.
I softly laugh and leaned down, pressing my lips against his soft ones. He pulled me on top of him, deepening our kiss. My hands ran through his hair, as he took off his shirt not breaking our kiss. He started taking mine off until all our clothes were on the floor.
---
I thanked the lady as I took my coffee off the counter. The rain finally passed and we had pretty good weather today even though it was pretty cold. I liked the col weather, though. I pushed past a few people, taking my first sip. I loved coffee.
I sat down across from Liz who was eating a muffin widely. She smiled when I sat down. "Hey."
"Hey." I replied.
She finished her food and put her phone down. "I am so happy that you and Justin finally admitted that you love each other. I mean, it was so obvious."
"That obvious?" I asked her. I hope it wasn't obvious.
"Yes. He always had his eyes on you, but anyway. How many times have you guys, you know?" She winked referring to sex and I rolled my eyes in laughter.
"That's not for you to know, darling." I replied getting up. "Anyway, I have to go."
We exchanged hugs and I left as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I couldn't sit down for long. I had to go home since my parents are throwing some thanksgiving dinner and I had to help set it up even if it wasn't until 10 hours that the party would start at.
I finally made it past the big crowds and, thankfully, was almost home. I didn't get a lot of sleep, maybe some lifetime of sleeping won't hurt. I quickly sped myself up but hit the breaks when I tripped over someones heels.
I pushed my hands out to stop myself from falling. God, I need to watch where I'm walking. I looked up to see a girl and a boy about my age, kissing. Looked awfully familiar but I decided not to pay attention on it, but they should look where the making out.
"Ariana?" My head snapped back to see Cole and some girl. In fact, this was the same girl from the diner. If Cole was so interested in her, then why did he kiss me? It made me glare at him, just thinking about it. He rubbed his neck which he normally did when he was embarrassed.
"Cole? I didn't see you there." I replied as awkward as it was. Here I was standing with hum and some girl he was just swallowing. "But I really should get going." I finished, turning away.
"Wait."
This time I turned around to hear the girl talking to me and I furrowed my eyebrows in response. Why was she talking to me? She had short blonde hair and her eyes were a dark brown.
"Yes?" I asked, trying to keep patient.
"You're Justin's girlfriend?" She asked.
"Yes." I replied confused but answered anyway. "You know him?"
She laughed and then returned to focus on me. "Oh, yes. I know him."
