"Why would you think that?"

It took me a while to adjust to what I was seeing in front of me. I thought for a second I was seeing things, but I wasn't. Monique sat right in front of me, her eyes meeting me and I quickly looked back at Justin, who reached forward for my arm, but I pulled away.
I couldn't believe him. I couldn't believe that he would do this to me. I was jumping to conclusions, but what other possible reason was she here for? Shaking my head, I pushed him away and turned around to make my way to somewhere as far away as possible.
"Ariana, stop." He firmly said, plead in his voice. He grabbed my waist, stopping me as I whipped around, my hair falling messily as I looked at him. "You have to give me a chance to explain."
"I give up." I told him, now power in my body to fight. "I give up on this. I'm tired, Justin. I'm tired of this. I just wanted you, okay? That's all I want. But I'm tired of going through of all this fucking pain. I don't even want to know why you were with her. I don't want to be hurt again. I just wanted you."
"Baby-"
"And after I look at everything we've been through. From the time that we started our no-strings-attached relationship, to the time you first told me you loved me, to time you asked me to be your girlfriend, from the time you told me you would be going to California for university, to this very moment - was it worth it to you, Justin? Because I don't know about me."
I wasn't even crying. I normally would let myself cry in front of him - but I had gone back to my old ways, not allowing myself to cry. I couldn't do that.
FLASHBACK
3 and half years ago
Ariana watched the snow falling as her red hair blew in the wind. Her cheeks were red and her skin was glowing as she walked across the empty school, her feet sinking in the sand. Her skin was showing, she was cold too. Not aware that it would be snowing by the time she got out of school.
She was alone, practically. No one else was at the school as her foot got caught in a root, she tugged at it, her foot finally coming out. As it did, the force made her loose her balance and she fell forward.
Expecting to hit the ground, a pair of strong arms wrapped around her, a gasp escaping her lips. She looked up, finding herself in a strangers arms, getting captivated by his light eyes.
Justin looked down at the girl who he just caught from falling. He was almost breathtaking at how beautiful she was. In that moment, he was sure that had never seen a girl like her before. Her pink lips, long eyelashes, red hair. She really was beautiful. He hadn't seen her before. He didn't even know she had gone to this school.
Then again, he had only moved here a few months ago.
"Are you okay?" He finally asked, after staring at her for a while. He gently lifted her up, back to her feet.
"Yeah," She nodded, giving him a small smile. "Thank you."
Ariana cheeks heated up slightly at the way he had been staring at her. His eyes glued to her. She couldn't help but stare at him as well. His hair looked amazing and it didn't even look like he made an effort to try. His light eyes were easy to get lost in - his lips looking so soft.
"It's okay." He replied, gently laughing. "I'm not very good at catching girls when they fall. Previous experiences, but you were the first one."
