I was pulled out of a peaceful sleep by Aspen's voice, and opened my eyes to see him looking down at me.
I lifted my head and blinked, then realised the fever had broken, and the only pain I had was the extreme soreness of my leg.
I felt clean and fresh, with clean clothes and lying in clean sheets, I didn't realise how much that was effecting me but it did make me feel much better.
The air was also fresh, and I looked to realise the window was open, or the fake gap in the wall as I had ignorantly called it before.
I looked at Aspen and he smiled as I sat up before rubbing my face with my hands.
I looked back at him as he made some kind of noise, and frowned when he exclaimed 'I could kiss her'.
He noticed my look and smirked.
"The doctor, she gave me that oil" he explained and I raised a brow.
Well I, could kill her, as that was agony.
Speaking of which...how long has it been since then...I feel like I've slept for years.
I sighed before looking out the window at the slightly cloudy sky and ignoring him.
"You're obsessed with the outside" he commented and I gave him a look.
"I've spent all my life 'outside'" I explained and he shrugged.
I sighed again before glaring down at my leg.
"Don't even think about trying to move, you'd just damage yourself" he warned and I rolled my eyes.
"I can kind of guess that by the extreme pain in my thigh from even the slightest movement" I commented and he scoffed.
"That hasn't stopped you before" he grumbled and I gave a shrug of nonchalant agreement.
I hissed and grimaced in pain when I tried to move my leg and Aspen gripped my shoulder.
"Stop. Moving." he commanded making me stare at him in challenge.
It was silent for a few moments before he rolled his eyes.
"I can take you outside if you want" Aspen suggested and I gave him a look.
"I'm okay." I stated and he sighed at me.
"Me helping you because you're injured doesn't make you weak" he commented and I raised a brow at him.
"Being injured is being weak" I informed him and he kind of glared at me for a few moments.
"Right." he exclaimed, and I was confused as to what he was doing until he put his arms underneath me and picked me up.
"Aspen!" I warned while grimacing from the strong, pulsing ache in my thigh.
"Put me down!" I growled while trying to push away from him. I began to feel dizzy and faint and closed my eyes when my vision started becoming patchy.
"Fuck." I cursed as I dealt with the pain, and hardly noticed as I was placed on cool grass.
I opened my eyes after a few moments and my vision cleared to see a blue sky and brightly lit sunny grass stretching for a few yards before a thick tree line. The walls of the castle were behind me and there were strangely enough no wolves in sight.
"Where are we?" I asked Aspen cautiously as he stood looming above me.
"Right outside my chambers, near the back of the castle, pretty peaceful here" he explained as he sat down next to me, and I glared into the tree line, ignoring him.
