"Can you please buy me jam from the supermarket? We're all out." Jade voiced to her older brother, Aiden. Her hands were on a small knife that was ready to scoop out the last bits of raspberry jam and spread it onto her golden brown toasted sliced bread.

Aiden huffs and crosses his arms, "Why can't you do it, huh?" He continues to watch the on going movie but his young sister's persistent please make it almost impossible to concentrate.

"Please, Aiden, mom said you would help me if I asked!" Jade says for the last time before Aiden groans out loud. He takes the duplicated house keys, together with his BMW car key and goes downstairs, towards the garage.

He slides into the sleek, black convertible and starts the car. He got the BMW for his seventeenth birthday. Although it wasn't brand new, he begged his parents to get him this model, even if it was second hand.

He drives smoothly away from his house and towards the supermarket where he shakes his head in annoyance. Of all the times their house chose to ran out of Raspberry Jam, it was at eight in the evening, while he was in the middle of watching Lord of the Rings.

He made his way through the high way, with The Weeknd's music playing in the radio. He drives fast, the only thing he sees is the light coming from his car. He was just so desperate to finish watching the trilogy. Maybe he could finish The Hobbit movies in one night too if he tried hard enough to stay awake.

He reaches the supermarket and parks his car, making sure that all the doors are locked, he walks inside the supermarket wearing black skinny jeans and a plain white shirt with black and white New Balance trainers.

Aiden knew that he was quite a looker with startling green eyes and messy brown hair that he ran his hand through almost every minute. He knew that the girls in his school would whisper about him and giggle when he passes by. But that didn't matter to him at all, in fact, he couldn't care less.

The only thing he cared about right now was getting that stupid jar of jam for Jade and going back to his movie. At that, he scoured through the aisles of Costco, he grabbed a bag of Doritos and an Apple juice box for himself. When he reached the aisle that contained the jams, he stopped short when he saw a beautiful girl standing right there.

She had dark wavy hair that reached just a bit after her shoulders, tan skin and violet, almost red square glasses. She inspected a jar of peanut butter, looking at the contents and pushed up her glasses because it was falling from the bridge of her very straight nose.

Aiden snapped himself out of staring at the ridiculously pretty girl that stood a few feet from him and kept his eyes on the prize. The last jar of Raspberry Jam that sat on the second to the top most shelf.

When he reached for the jar, he noticed that the girl had dropped the jar of peanut butter back on the shelf with the other peanut butter jars. He unconsciously remembered that it was the chunky kind of peanut butter and not the smooth kind.

Although the peanut butter brand of Skippy was at the back of his mind, itching to distract him, he reached out for the jar of raspberry jam at the same time she did.

At this, their fingers touched. Her thin, tan, fingers which had nails that were absolutely trimmed to perfection touched his.

"Oh, uh, you can have it if you want." The girl said shyly, tucking back stray strands of her hair behind her ear.

"No, no it's fine." He said, taking the jar and handing it to her. She looked up at him, because she was so much shorter than him. A good eight inches separated them by height and he looked down at her, urging her to take the jam.

"I've never met someone else that liked Raspberry Jam besides my sister." He says, with as much confidence as he can muster and she laughs. Aiden thinks he can fall in love right then and there.

"Your sister has good taste then."  She says before cautiously taking the jar away from him and says a quick thanks before scurrying away with the rest of her groceries but not before flashing him a gorgeous over the shoulder smile. Aiden was star struck for a while. Even as he drove back to his home, he couldn't forget the way her lips twitched up and revealed her pearly white teeth.

She left him in that supermarket, in aisle thirty-five, smitten as ever and holding onto a hope that he might see her again.
