Ruechari didn't know what Billy was, but he was no mere human. Of that she was certain.

A sudden realization dawned on her. She was now saddled on one of the fastest horses in the west, Highride Ali's horse, a competition racer and this may be her only chance to get away from Reaper.

She leaned in and whispered in the horse's ear, "No matter what I do, you need to run, run far. Run fast! Far from here and do not let me stop you, you are stronger than me."

The sound of a shotgun echoed through the town.

"Now, ride," Ruechari yelled at the horse.

Her horse took off like a shot.

She knew Reaper lost the fight, as she had gained control of her body once more but something in her knew that he was not gone, that he could not be killed but such means. She did not know how she knew.

She rode hard and fast, for hours, until she had come upon the crystal caverns. Caves she knew from childhood.

She wove in and out of the natural formations until her horse could no longer run and he slowed to a stop. She slid out of the saddle and pulled him into one of the caves.

She grabbed an apple from her satchel for the horse and then heard the chanting of her people. "Not again."

The woman from the cliffs appeared before her.

"Time is growing short. War is upon us. You must remember. You must go back to go forward. To begin to believe you need to see." As she said this she reached out and touched Ruechari's heart.

A sharp pain filled Ruechari's mind, crippling her, bringing her to her knees.

"Remember...you must remember."

Ruchari wanted the pain to stop. "Please," she begged of no one.

A vision filled her mind a vision of the past. She had seen the woman from the cliff. She knew she was somehow connected to her. They were all connected to her.

It was as if she was looking through this woman's eyes. Pain tore through her body. The woman screamed out but it was her own voice she had heard. Then she heard chanting far off in the distance and a gentle hand touches her face. It was Chief Damaged Goods but a much younger version of him. His look was one of fear mixed with joy. "It is a girl," he said wiping the sweat from her brow.
