Chapter 10

(Imprisoned in his lair PART 2!!!)

Kagome's POV

"INUYASHAA!!!" I screamed my voice echoing off into the forest.

I stared in horror at the demon who pierced Inuyasha's chest with ease. He went limp and the demon threw him off to the side.

Before I could move, the demon turned his gaze back towards us and started forward.

Miroku instantly held up a hand as if to shield us away from the creature.

"Miroku?" Sango said half startled half confused.

Miroku held up his right hand then unwrapped the beads, stretching out his palm.

"Wind Tunnel!" He said in a booming voice.

The world started to spin and everything was being sucked in. The creature staggered back trying to run, but it was no use. Miroku moved closer and soon the demon could no longer move. It shrieked an unearthly last cry before completely being sucked into the void.

Miroku rapidly wrapped the beads around his closed fist, and the world stopped spinning.

I ran and staggered calling out to Inuyasha, the group called out my name but I didn't listen. My body, heart, and soul was fixed on him and him only.

When I reach him, he is not moving.

I scanned his wound and checked for his pulse.

Thank goodness he was alive, but it was very faint.

The blood oozed all over his garments.

I yanked off my scarf and pressured it on Inuyasha's wound.

"Please be okay, please be okay, please be okay." I repeated.

The blood instantly soaked through the whole scarf and I made a noise in my throat.

I looked behind me to see the group staring at us with concern.

"We have to bring him back to Kaede's place!" My voice cracked.

"It's too far, I'll do it!"

I swung my head around to see Kikyo approaching me and Inuyasha.

(I had totally forgotten that she was even here.)

"Yes...please!" I say desperately.

She nodded then crouched down beside us, and then looked at me.

"Um...I-I'll go get some healing herbs from in the forest." I sprang up and headed in the direction of the trees.

I looked behind me, and felt my heart tightened.

It's not fair! I couldn't be the one to heal him, or help him. The way Kikyo looked at him right now,

(Translation: inspecting his wound)

and caressed his neck...

(Translation: checking for a pulse)

I don't care if I'm overreacting! It hurt...a lot.

I checked behind a bush and found some herbs. I started sorting through them trying to find the right remedies.

Kikyo's POV

I sighed and shook my head.

Kagome must've been thinking weird things again!

I checked Inuyasha's pulse, and this time it was more steady and stronger than a couple minutes before.

I glanced behind me to see the gang fidgeting, waiting for an update on how he was doing.
