CLUES!?

Chapter 11 (CLUES!?)

Sango's POV

I saw Kagome in the distance lost in thought and I ran up to her.

"Kagome!" I yelled and waved to get her attention.

She looked up and gave a friendly smile.

"Hey."

I finally reached her and give her the news about Sakura.

"I know where she is!" I exclaimed.

This certainly brought Kagome's attention and she waited for me to finish explaining what happened.

I told her about the notes on the ground how Sakura was trying to tell us something before she left.

Once finished, she nodded. "Then I'm going after her!"

I looked at her in shock.

"No way! We'll all go, and besides it's too dangerous." I said.

She shook her head stubbornly.

"I don't want to bring 'him' or anyone else along with me. You all could get hurt." She said.

"And you think we don't feel the same way!?" I blurted out.

She stared.

"Look, we all want to save her just as desperately as you! You think your the only one? Inuyasha did what he did only to protect you!" I cried out in frustration.

She couldn't speak she was too stunned that her voice escaped her.

"And more than anything, he wanted to keep all of us safe, keep you safe, and your deciding to go into danger by yourself!?" At that point I was yelling and I had to take a minute to calm myself.

"All I'm saying is, don't keep all the burden, the risk, and sorrow by yourself, we all feel it too, and we want you to share that with us. Because we all care about each other, we all want to help too, me, Miroku, Shippo, Kaede, Inuyasha, heck even Kikyo does!"

I couldn't continue on because if I did I knew I was gonna breakdown and start crying so instead I walked away. Leaving her time to think.

Kagome's POV

She had a point . . . But I still couldn't let them come.

She didn't understand how much this meant to me, how much I needed to do this alone.

I walked back to Kaede's hut and rested my knees beside Inuyasha.

He turned his head and looked at me.

"You ok?" He asked.

I nodded and tried to smile.

I clasped my hand in his giving an affectionate squeeze. Gently he did too, and I released.

"Be safe" I whispered.

He was confused, but to me it held everything.

All the things that were piled up in my heart, Flowed with feelings within those words.

He nodded. "I will"

I sighed in relief and left the hut.

I told Shippo that I was going back home for two days and that I would be back by dawn.

"Ok" Shippo said only half listening as he showed his gadgets with Kirara.

With that I left.

As I headed towards the bone eaters well, I thought of what I was doing. I knew it was crazy, but that's what people would do to get the people they cared for back right?
