Sanyukta was watching his postures from past few
minutes intently. As soon as he shifted his gaze
towards her, she switched the TV off. His forehead
lines were till then drenched with minute sweat
beads due to restlessness. She knew why he was
behaving in that way but dared not to ask him
about it. His hands were quivering and eyes have
gone all blood red till then.

Seeing him getting restless over the passing
seconds, all she did was, approach him and hug him
tight. She caged his frame with her arms and sat
beside him, closer. His hands involuntarily clutched
her tightly from the back in a moment as he dug his
face on her neck, breathing heavily.

" What happened Randhir?!.. Okay.. It's.. Okay... Don't panic...Sushh.. " She sushed lulling him in her arms just like a curled up tiny sniffing baby.

Fresh tear
drops rolled down his red orbs as he wetted her
shoulder with his silent tears. She clutched him
tightly, pulling him closer to her body and patted his
back slowly to pacify him. She knew that at that
time, all he needed was someone’s warmth and
someone’s shoulder to pour out all his grief and
sorrow that he has kept bottled up inside him till
now.

He knew that he was unveiling his weaker side to her
but it felt so right at that moment. Her warmth
washed away his inner turmoil in a nanosecond. He
could breathe! He could breathe now! Like never
before! It felt so lively! So fresh! So serene! He felt
so tranquil and warm that he never knew when he
slept under her clutch.

“Randhir…?” Sanyukta, who was clasping him in her
arms from the past one hour called him out once
she felt him get relaxed. She heard soft snores
indicating that he had slept by then. She detached
their frames slowly as he was quite heavy for her to
hold onto for such a long time.

But as soon as she
detached their frames, he tilted backwards pulling
her with him. His hands were clutching her kurti
from the side when she felt getting tugged by him
on the bed. She didn’t move an inch as it won’t be a
good option to wake him up now. She wanted him
to relax and free his mind from all those deadly
situations that he must have faced and sleep is the
only way that can make him do so. She had no
other option than lying down beside him but she
tried to keep a perfect distance between them.

Later that night, Sanyukta found herself wide
awake, staring at his calm face and stroking his hairs
lightly as she titled towards him and he was lying
straight on the bed with his hands clutching her left
arm.
