Why me?

Riley's PoV

I can't just let him go, can I? Somethings takes over me and I make the biggest decision of my life.
"James wait" I say he come to an abrupt stop.
"I'm sorry" I say a little chocked up
"I just don't know what to do"
He turns around and look at me and shrugs.
"Follow you heart"
"Bu.." He stops me
"No Riley do what makes you happy, I love you but if you truly want a family I can make it work because I love you" he turns back around and opens his car door. I run out the door and in front of his car.
"Do you really love me?"
"Yes, I'd never make that up but somehow I've not been able to get you out my mind" he says. Finally that's all I wanted to hear.
"I want a family James but I don't think I can make you mine"
"Then how Riley what if no one else wants you?" He says frowning
"I'll just have to make it work like I have for the last I don't even know how long"
"You can't just make it work Riley I want you happy" he says
"I'm getting to old to be living here anyway, if I get another job Maybe just maybe I can afford a flat and I'll be ok"
"You can't just make it work, what will my mum think when we suddenly get so close"
He's right either way his mum is going to be confused.
"You want me to live with you so badly fine I will" that's it my mind is made and I don't know if this is it. This will go up in flames but where ever there's smoke there fire. This love is like running into a burning building but we can't stop this either way.

I head back into my room. I pack all my stuff which is two bags full not much but it's all I need. I head back down to find Amanda. She's sitting quietly in her office. I knock on the door.
"Riley sweetie have you made a decision?"
"Yeah, I'm ready to leave" I say smiling brightly
"I'm gonna miss you honey bun"she comes up and hugs me
"I'm ready for my future, what ever happens next I'll have a family to support me"
I think I'm finally ready to leave, I think truly inside I was scared I've never properly left this. These people are my family but if I don't leave I don't grow. I need to grow as a person.
"Would you like to call Deborah and tell her there good news or shall I?"
"Could I please?" I ask

I dial Deborah's number in the phone and hesitate whether or not I should press call. I go
For it.
"Ring ring ring" is all I hear through the phone
"Deborah?" I ask as soon as the phone goes quiet.
"Riley sweetie I'm so glad to be hearing from you, how's you day been?"
"Good thanks, eh... I wanted to tell you something well ask" I say a little worried what is she doesn't want me anymore.
"What is it dear"
"I would like to know if it is possible if I could maybe stay"
"Honey of course it is I'd love for you to stay how long?" That wasn't what I was expecting
"Forever" I spit it out no time for messing about.
"Oh darling you made your mind up, I can't wait for you to stay, oh I've always wanted a daughter" I chuckle down the phone because of how excited she is.
"I've always wanted a mother"I say frowning slightly.
"Well you have one now, I'll pick you up at 8, wear something nice we're going out for dinner to celebrate" I smile down the phone.
"Okay bye Deborah" I say
"Bye sweet pea"
Then the line goes dead I put down the phone and jump excitedly round the office. I'm ready for my new beginning.
