Riley's PoV

I've not been in trouble yet and now I'm sitting the principles office waiting for Deborah. The door opens and Michelle and her mum walk in. I give her a pity smile, she shrugs and smiles at me. The door opens and the principle and Deborah walks in. She gives me a disappointed look.

Me and Michelle bunked 3 periods and got caught sitting on the bleachers. So basically were in shit now. Michelle also had a cigarette in her hand which make this situation 10 times worse.
"I'm sorry to bring you here but these young ladies have been caught skipping class to what have a smoke" Deborah's eye widen and stares at me.
"Well if I may but in no we didn't just skip class to what did you say have a 'smoke' and this is all my fault, Michelle left class cause I told her to not because she wanted to at the time"
"WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU GET ANOTHER STUDENT TO SKIP CLASS!" Principle Sioux screams in my face. I smirk.
"Simply because I was pissed that my brother called me a skank and didn't get in shit for it but whatever" I say rolling my eyes slumping back into the chair.
"Don't you dare use that language in my school" he says gritting his teeth.
"Got it and no skipping class, got it can I go back to class now" he rolls his eyes and nods his head.

Me and Michelle walk down to pe and get dressed in our shorts and t-shirts. I walk in late with Michelle trailing behind me. Everyone is staring at us. I am done with this nice girl act.
"What are you all staring at huh?" I say with anger running through my veins. Everyone turns to look at the teacher who I get a very disapproving look from. Luke then come up to me. I smile.
"What's up with you?"
"I'm just not in a good mood, don't worry I'm fine just don't go near James"
"Why?"
"He called me a skank for going out with you but please don't.. Or not" I says the last bit as Luke storms up to James and punches him in the face. My eyes widen and I run in between them and end up getting the punch that I think Luke was supposed to get. I fall to my knees in pain. Riley don't cry. Luke falls down to my level followed by James doing the same thing. I grab Luke and walk away. I've had it with James, he really needs to get his act together. A few tears slip down my cheek and Luke pulls me into a hug and I suddenly just burst into tears.
"Riley?" I hear that idiotic voice again
"Go away man don't you think you don't enough?" Look says answering for me, he tightens his grip on me.
"Yo man I wasn't talking to you" he says pushing Luke. Luke releases me and pushes him back.
"Don't touch me man" he says gritting his teeth. I grab Luke's hand and shake my head.
"Please don't luke" I whisper to him, he nods his head and walks to the changing room with me.

"you ok?, I'm sorry for hitting him" I shrug, it's not really his fault James started this whole mess with his stupid attitude problem.
"It's ok, I just don't want James near me" I say smiling holding the ice pack to my face. I can't believe he hit me, he didn't even have the decency to say sorry.
"It's ok, I'll protect you princess" I smile and kiss him on the lips. I wrap my arms around his body and lean myself into him.
"I love you princess" he says kissing my head. I look up and pull him into a kiss.
"I love you too" I mumble, that's the first time we've ever said I love you to each other ever. This tingling feeling is all over my body and I have butterflies In my stomach. I really hope James doesn't ruin this for me.

We both head back out onto the field holding hands. I lean into his shoulder, and he wraps a protective arm around me. I really hope James doesn't ruin the big games tomorrow.
