"Hey Kenzie!"(I hope it's okay that I said Kenzie instead of your full name) you heard Nick yelling while running towards you.
You just had finished your choir meet, so you were walking out of the music room.
"Hey Nick, what's up?"
"I was just wondering if you wanted to go practice for the play on Saturday?" He said with a bright smile
"Yeah sure! Just let me put this stuff inside my locker first." You said gesturing to the large amount of things in your hands
"Here let me help" Nick said while taking half of the things that were in your hands
You and Nick have been friends since middle school, he's basically like your bestest friend in the entire world. But lately you've had some different feelings towards him. And not in s friend way.
You wanted to be more with Nick, but your sure that he just thinks of you as a sister.
You brush off those thoughts when you get to your locker. You throw all the things you didn't need inside and out the other things in your backpack.
While you were walking to the auditorium, you noticed Nick playing with him thumbs. Hmm must just be going over his lines in his head. ARE YOU STUPID HES THINKING OF YOU!! STOP BEING SO CLUELESS ALREADY.
You two finally get to the auditorium, and you walk up the stairs to the stage, and set your things down on the stage, and get your scripts out.
Practice was going fine and dandy until you two felt little pieces of thinks hit your heads, you looked at the ground and saw something that looked like ceiling pieces (I think it's called dry wall, but whatever) you heard a louder noise and then looked up, one of the stage lights was hanging only by the last wires, you were too busy to notice that the last wire had snapped and the light was now about to crush you.
Nick moved swiftly across the stage from where he was, and pushed you out of the way, saving your life, before the stage light could hit you both.
"Are you okay?"
"Uh, yeah I think so, might have some whiplash though" you said with a small laugh
"Well, better whiplash than death right" he gave you a very cheeky smile
" But really, thank you for saving me, I don't know what I'd do-"
Before you could finish your sentence you felt a warm pair of lips on yours. At first you were stunned but then you kissed back as you both smiled into the kiss.
"Uh hey, Mackenzie?"
"Yeah, Nick"
"I know this isn't the time nor the place to be asking you this but, would you mind being my girlfriend?" He said rubbing the nape of his neck, worry written all over his face
You reached across from where you were sitting and gave him a tight hug.
"Soo, is that a yes?"
All you did was nod your head.
The auditorium doors slam open and you see almost half the school rush in. Everyone was asking if things were okay, and if you and nick were safe.
You said yes, and told them that things were better than okay.
