You walked around the island looking for something that you haven't seen before. Also trying not to be seen by something new, that you haven't seen before.
You here foot steps in the distance in front of you so you crouch behind a large tree, and slowly make your way toward the footsteps.
Why? Because you felt like being nosy today.
You peek your head from behind the tree, and you see two new faces walking with your uncle. So you decide to stop hiding, now that you know that nothing is gonna kill you.
You approach the small group with a warming smile.
"Who's this" you ask your uncle
"Ah, Brittany, this is Zach, and Grey."
You glance at the two boys, the shorter one gives you a warm smile. When you look up to the taller one that you think might be Zach, you see him slightly tense up, then he gives you a cold glance that worried you.
Such a rude stare from such a cute guy. What a shame.
You join the small group, just enjoying a nice walk, you were heading back you didn't see Zach but you sure felt the hard shove from behind you when you fell to your knees on a rock. Cutting the skin open.
"What the hell?!"
"What?"
"What do you mean what? Why are you being so rude? You've never even met me"
"So, I don't like you."
You roll your eyes and get up, just at Owen turns around to see your gushing knee.
"What happened?!"
"I slipped and fell" you lie
Zach glances at you.
" oh, we'll be more careful next time. Zach, sorry to have to ask but can you take her to get cleaned up?"
Zach smirks "sure no problem"
Zach takes you by the arm, and walks you down to where all the emergency injury things are.
You walk into the nurse office type thing, and sit down in a chair while Zach noisily finds what's needed to clean your knee.
He gathers everything, and pours rubbing alcohol on your knee, making you weep in pain.
For a moment you see his eyes soften, but when you look back the same scowl was placed on his face. He finishes and when your about to leave you here your name lightly being called.
"What?" You say irritated turning around.
"I'm sorry."
"Mhm, sure you are" you reply with anger
"No I'm serious, I never meant to hurt you this bad. I just needed a way to talk to you. And this is the only way I knew how."
"Well, next time. Don't be a child about it."
"I'm sorry."
"Can't we start over?" He asks with hope in his eyes.
"I guess"
He holds out his hand, implying he want you to shake it.
You shake his hand.
"Hey I'm Zach. Nice to meet you"
"Hi. I'm Brittany."
"I was wondering if maybe you wanted to hangout for a bit?"
You try to hold back your smile, but fail
"Sure."
Before you have a chance to laugh once more, a soft pair of lips meet yours. The kiss felt rushed and urgent. After a few seconds you kissed back, and smiled.
"Sorry" Zach said rubbing the back of his neck
"It's okay" you giggle
You and Zach hangout in the nurse office type thing for most of the day completely forgetting about grey and Owen.
