You where walking down to the shops with your brother, just catching up. You haven't seen him in quite a while. Joshua (your brothers name in the story) told his famous jokes that always made you laugh. It made you laugh so hard that you almost walked of the curb, quickly Joshua wrapped his arms around your shoulder laughing even harder at you, and telling you to be careful.
While all this happened neither of you noticed a man with a camera hiding in the bushes. He snapped a picture and did what he was paid to do. Give it to the magazines to make up a fake story. Wonderful.
You came home around 12 am from hanging out with Joshua, and when you did you saw Nick sitting on the couch with a magazine in hand. Setting your things on the counter you walked over, instantly regretting it.
Nick looked you dead in the eyes, and lifted the magazine into view.
"What is this?"
"A picture of me?" You asked trying not to smile
"Yes, Michelle that is you. You AND another guy."
Before you even got a chance to blink, Nick lost it, he was saying how he thought he could trust you, how could you do this to him after 4 years. Nonsense.
You let him get all his anger out before you started giggling.
"Why are you laughing? You seriously think this is funny?"
"Are you that stupid Nick? Are you forgetting one part of my life that I Cherish so much?"
"No, I don't think so." He said his anger lessening
"My family Nick, that guy in the picture is Joshua. MY BROTHER. You met him last Christmas"
Instantly Nicks eyes widened, then softened with guilt.
"Michelle, I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have-"
"It's fine, next time ask me before you explode please"
"Will do."
