Shazam
So yes, we definitely did get that record deal from Luke! And he definitely did like the song Dino wrote! Except we changed a few things and added new stuff - So Luke liked the song we ALL wrote.
It's been a week since we've seen the girls but we get to chill with them and tell them the good news! I pulled up in front of Stacey house and parked the car. We all hoped out and went up the stairs that leads to her house.
I rang the bell and her aunt Kayla opened the door. "Good afternoon Aunt Kayla" we all greeted. "Good afternoon boys! Come in, I'll go get Stacey." She said.
We made our way in and went into the living room. "Wassup Leah? Wassup Kaedi?" I greeted.
"What y'all doing here?" Kaedi asked surprised.
"Came to see y'all" GI said sitting down next to Leah.
"Haven't seen y'all in a week and y'all literally live across the street" Leah said laughing.
I sat next to Leah and Dino sat next to Kaedi. I do not want to sit next to Stacey. Girl is going to drive me up a wall pretty soon! She finally made it into the living room.
"What y'all doing here?" Stacey said stopping dead in her tracks.
"Came to tell y'all some good news" Dino said.
"What's the news?" Stacey asked sitting on the couch with Dino and Kaedi.
"What did y'all get into now?" Leah asked.
"Tell us!" Kaedi said excitedly.
I laughed at her excitement before responding.
"Thanks to Dino and his crazy ways, we are now signed to Luke records!" I announced.
We all started cheering and Aunt Kayla got scared. "What's all this excitement about?!" She asked."OMG! Auntie Kayla! The boys got signed to a record label!" Stacey said.
"Luke Records" GI clarified.
"Congrats boys! I'm proud." She said hugging each one of us.
"So what about school? What's gonna happen with that?" Kaedi asked sitting back down in her spot.
"We'll be doing all that on the road." I answered.
"Don't worry y'all, school is still our priority." Dino said.
"We just won't be seeing y'all as much. But we want y'all to come to our first show when we get everything settled." GI told them.
"It's gonna suck not seeing y'all around all the time." Kaedi said sadly.
"Or calling y'all all the time." Stacey said.
"Or throwing random parties and getting drunk. Or seeing y'all in church every Sunday." Leah said.
"Now y'all making it a depressing atmosphere. We supposed to be excited y'all!" I told them.
"I'm happy for y'all honestly! Just sad that y'all leaving." Kaedi said standing up.
"Where you going?" Dino asked.
"I'll be back." She responded leaving. The rest of us continued the conversation.
"She'll be aight. We not leaving anytime soon." I thought shaking my head. After five minutes of her not returning I went to go check on her.
I excused myself and went to go look for Kaedi. She was on the patio crying. I slid the door open and she jumped up wiping her face.
"I'm fine I promise." She said trying to laugh.
"Wanna tell Shazam what's wrong?" I asked pulling her into my arms. She wrapped her arms around my waist and cried some more.
"Is it because of what I said earlier? About us leaving?" I asked and she nodded.
"We not leaving anytime soon Kae! It's something new for all of us. We're all nervous and scared of what's to come. But we just gonna go out there and try to adjust, and do what we love to do." I said trying to comfort her.
"I know but things happen so unexpectedly, you just never know! I'm really happy and proud of y'all for landing that record deal. I know it's something y'all really wanted." She said.
"Always expect the unexpected Kae. Thank you for being so supportive though." I told her honestly.
"Of course I'm gonna be supportive!" She said laughing. "Thank you for being a great friend and checking on me." She said hugging me.
"Anytime with your sensitive ass!" I said messing up her hair. She flicked me off and fixed her hair back. We both laughed and then headed back inside.
"Looks like everyone is back, dinner is ready!" Aunt Kayla said and everyone ran to the table.
