Expect The Unexpected (H-Town)

Today Dino is preaching and I'm actually kind of excited about it. He's normally preaching about something anyway, so for him to be preaching in church today is a big deal. I even invited Leonce to church - and he came!

Dino finally started preaching and his topic of choice is spiritual growth. Something that I'm very interested in and in need of.

"Colossians 1:10 - 'So that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.' What does that mean?" Dino asked us. Dino continued on with his sermon.

"I've never been to church before. My folks are religious and all that but I'm not." Leonce told me. I was shocked as hell that he even came then.

"Really? So what convinced you to come today?" I asked confused.

"Not what, whom." He told me.

I pointed to myself still in shock. "So what does that mean?" I asked him.

"That you're the only girl who can get me to do something out of my comfort zone. Which means that you're someone special." He said honestly.

I smiled at him brightly. "You mean that? No one has ever told me something so deep before." I told him.

"Well I guess this is something meant to be. And if we weren't in church I would definitely kiss you right now." He said licking his lips.

I bit my lip and he did a sexual smirk. I squeezed my legs tighter together and tried to focus back on Dino sermon. "He know exactly what he's doing to me." I thought. I need some prayer right now!

Dino had called Kaedi up to the pulpit and everyone was confused. He pulled a box out of his pocket and got on one knee.

"Are you gonna propose?!" I jumped up and had all eyes on me. He laughed and nodded at me.

"I already asked your family for their blessing and they gave me permission. In my spiritual growth Kaedi, I want you down for the ride. I love you and I want to spend the rest of my laugh with you. I know we're both young but I know you're the one for me. I want to go through all the ups and downs. The thick and thins - everything. So will you marry me Kaedi Michelle Roberts?" Dino asked popping the box open.

Kaedi was crying and in shock. "I don't know what to say Keven." She said still shocked.

"Say yes!" The whole church shouted.

They both laughed. "Yes, I'll marry you!" She yelled happily. He slid the big rock on her finger and they quickly kissed. The whole church cheered.

I turned around to talk to Leonce and he was down on one knee too.

"Woah! What are you doing Leonce?" I asked nervously.

"It's a promise ring Leah, relax." He said laughing.

"Will you accept my promise ring until I replace it with an engagement ring?" He asked.

I giggled and rolled my eyes playfully. "Yes I'll accept your promise ring." I told him as he slipped it on my finger.

Today has to be the best Sunday ever!
