I had my headphones on with my CD player in hand walking down the hall to my psychology class. Jodeci-Forever My Lady is playing on full blast and I'm singing along to it. I turned the corner and finally looked up.

There he was - the boy that I've been hearing about lately by all these bird females in the cafeteria. Tall, light skinned, great teeth, hood, smart and funny. His name is....

"Leonce" He said extending his hand to me.

I paused Jodeci and shook his hand. "Sorry I didn't catch your name." I said truthfully.

"Leonce Smith. I just switched to your Psychology class." He said. We finally dropped each other hands and I placed my headphones around my neck.

"Nice to finally meet you Leonce. I'm Leah Hubbert. What made you switch to psychology?" I asked.

"Finally meet me? So I'm guessing people have been talking about me. I switched to your psychology class because I saw something interesting that I wanted to learn about." He said with a smirk.

I smiled and read in between the lines. "Sure you didn't pick up on anything else you want to learn about?" I asked Leonce.

"Nah not really." He said leaning against the wall.

Darryl came around the corner slightly bumping into me. Leonce jumped off of the wall looking like he was ready to pop.

"Watch where you going homie!" He yelled annoyed.

I kinda jumped at his reaction to Darryl bumping me. He got over protective and he doesn't even know me!

"Relax Leonce. I know him - really well actually. He's cool people, he didn't purposely bump me." I said.

"Yea I didn't and come correct how you talking to me playa! We don't know each other." G.I. said.

I shook my head and looked back and forth between the two. "Well that's the bell for class, we should go." I said trying to break the tension.

Normally G.I. sits next to me in psych 101 but this time he sat next to Shantè. Leonce sat next to me - totally didn't mind that! I could over hear the girls talking shit though.

"This is gonna be a long day" I thought sliding down into my chair.

I looked over at G.I. who's having a full blown flirtation session with Shantè and I'm getting more pissed off by the minute.

"I was thinking that for lunch that me and you could go eat somewhere if that's cool with you." Leonce asked.

I looked at G.I. who is purposely ignoring me. Why bother chasing after him when I have a guy checking for me? "Sounds good to me." I said smiling. "We can go to iHop. I love their pancakes." I suggested.

"iHop it is then." He said as Professor Cummings entered the classroom. Behind Professor Cummings, Stacey and this other fine ass dude came in.

"He gave dap to Leonce and sat down behind him. Stacey sat down to the left of me and was smiling ear to ear.

"Who's that fine ass brother you just walked in with?!" I asked her.

"That is Kadeem Hosford." She said still smiling. "Who's the fine ass brother sitting next to you? Seems like they know each other." She said looking at the both of them.

Those two were in the middle of a conversation. "That is Leonce Smith. And we're going to iHop after class." I said throwing it out there.

Her eyes widened. "Girl I want all of the details!" Stacey said happily. She waved over to G.I. who head nodded her and gave her a little smiled.

"So these two are cool I'm guessing. This just might get interesting. Wait! Is he the dude you ditched the party for?!" I asked leaning in even closer so these bird ass females couldn't hear.

Stacey nodded her head and smiled. "I wanna hear about those details later." I said seriously before properly sitting in my seat again.

"Alright class, let's begin today's lesson on reverse psychology" Professor Cummings announced.

"Yea, today is gonna be a long but eventful day" I thought looking at Leonce who was focused on the lesson. I looked over to Darryl and he quickly looked away from me. I made a mental note to talk to him about Shantè before the day is over.
