Kaedi

I had made it to the school building just ten minutes before my first classes starts! I walked into the building and walked down the hall where I noticed a big crowd. There was Dino, GI, and Shazam standing in the middle signing autographs.

I smiled and waved over at them and they waved back. Dino just ignored me which I thought was weird because he wasn't acting like that at movie night. Leah and Stacey walked over to me.

"Hey girls" I said hugging each of them.

"Looks like the boys are blowin up huh?" Leah asked leaning against the wall.

"They grow up so fast." Stacey said fake crying. We all started laughing.

I saw Hakeem walking over to us and I grunted in disgust. "You want me to whoop his ass Kaedi?" Leah asked.

"I'll let y'all know if I need help." I told her somewhat serious.

"We'll be over there if you need us." Stacey said walking away with Leah.

"Hey Kaedi, can we talk for a sec?" Hakeem asked.

"I'll talk and you listen." I told him.

"Ok." He said sticking his hands in his pocket.

"Shazam told me about you and Amina. I hope y'all enjoyed y'all little date - not! I thought you were actually feeling me, and I the same for you. You make it hard for the good guys out here who actually want something with us girls. You're a stupid, shallow, disrespectful, no -good dog! And you can forget about me helping you with your paper." I told him and he stood there with his jaw to the ground.

"I'm sorry. You weren't supposed to find out!" Hakeem said trying to touch me.

I backed up and looked at him in disgust. "End of conversation Hakeem!" I told him getting louder.

"Kaedi I-" I cut him off.

"I said end of fucking conversation!" I growled at him and he walked away.

Stacey and Leah walked over to me and tried to comfort me. Dino walked over with the boys and asked them to give us a minute. They left and headed for class which was about to start any minute now.

"You ok?" Dino asked hugging me.

"I guess so." I said hugging him tighter.

We let go of each other although I didn't want to. "You candy it now Keven." I said rolling my eyes.

"Say what?" He asked playing dumb.

"The 'I told you so' because I know you want to." I said feeling down.

He shook his head no at me. "Nah we all have to learn from our mistakes Kae. He just happened to be a horrible one." He said and we both laughed.

"I see that your famous now." I said leaning against the wall.

He laughed and shook his head. "Guess things are gonna be different now huh?" He asked.

"Yea I guess so. Gonna get you a new boo and everything. I hope she's cute." I told him. He laughed and shoved me playfully.

Dino

"I know what it's like being on the other side. Trying to get the person you want to give you another chance because you know you fucked up. Having to see them mess around with someone else and seeing them get hurt in the end. Figuring out that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Now the only thing that's left to do is tell her how you feel and hope she still feels the same." I said hoping Kaedi would realize I was talking about her.

"Maybe she does feel the same but is scared to get hurt again. Maybe she was too much in love with the guy and it took him too long to realize, so she went searching elsewhere. She was hoping that the table would eventually turn on him and he would be singing all the damn blues one day. Maybe she just needs time before she can decide again." Kaedi said.

What she said actually hit me like a ton of bricks. "Well if she does decide that she wants to be with me, I just want her to know that I love her. Ain't no other chick out here gonna replace her." I said pulling her close to me.

She smiled at me and her eyes looked a little watery. "Good and she wants him to know that she loves him too." She said.

I kissed her and she kissed me back. You could feel the passion and the sex tension in that kiss. We finally broke apart after what seemed like forever.

"Looks like we're ten minutes late to class. We should get going." I said. She nodded and we headed to our first class.
