SHINOA'S POV:
I'm actually glad Mitsu suggested the idea of a party. The atmosphere made me feel a whole lot more relaxed. I left Kimizuki by the door to let people in. Yoichi seemed to be handling the drinks. Mitsu was being a social butterfly outside. And Yu... I hadn't seen him for a couple of hours. It crossed my mind that I hadn't seen the bloodsucker around either. That's when I started to panic. But then, as if on queue, Yu walked towards me from out of the crowd. I took a deep sigh of relief. He was safe.
"Hey Shinoa. Great party you've organised." Yu smiles.
"Mitsus idea." I shrug. He seems really cheery.
"Is Yoichi handing out drinks. I'm so thirsty." He says and he wanders off towards the kitchen. Now I can fully relax knowing he's safe. I decide to go talk to Shinya. He's still a bit shaken after what happened with Guren. I need to see if he's okay...
YOICHI'S POV:
The house got busy so quickly. Shinoa has asked me to take care of the drinks, so here I am, standing in a kitchen surrounded by gossiping people and endless bottles of lemonade and coke and whatever else anyone had bought with them. I've never been a fan of parties. They make me anxious. A lot of people in one room. But I have to put up with it for Mitsu and Shinoas sake. After about 20 minutes of standing alone, Yu appears at my side.
"Oh, hey Yu." I say, a little surprised.
"Hey Yoichi." He says cheerily. How is he so happy all of a sudden?
"Someone's happy." I say smiling at him. He laughs.
"Isn't everyone though? It's a party. Come on Yoichi, loosen up a little." He smiles at me, giving me a playful nudge.
"Eh. I don't really like parties." I say. "I'm just here to hand out drinks." I half smile uncomfortably.
"Well then, can I have a drink, please? Don't ask what. Surprise me." He smiles. I could have sworn someone's drugged him or something. I grab the bottle closest to me and pour it into a plastic cup and hand it to him.
"Thanks." He grins, and wanders off so the crowd swallows him up. I'm left alone once again in such a busy room. I think about the others. Kimizuki gave up with letting people in ages ago, and now it seems to be whoever's closest lets more people to add to the never ending flow in. Mitsu never really had a job. Just to socialise, which she seems to be getting on with pretty well. And Shinoa? She's party director. Her only job is to oversee the rest of us and have a good time. Shinoa thinks Yu is still recovering from blood loss, so was happy enough to let him get out of doing anything. As for the vampire, I haven't seen him around recently. This rings alarm bells in my head. I know it's not safe to go and see him alone, Yu clarified that for all of us, but I want to know where he is and that he's not causing trouble to any of the guests. I'm not letting anyone die tonight.
Cautiously, I head towards the vampires bedroom. I double check that everyone near by is too busy chatting to not see me go in. I knock gently and hear an aggravated grunt from within. For anyone else, that would be enough to tell you he's inside, but who says Yu hasn't just gone in there with him?
I open the door slowly to be relived by the sight of Mika, sitting alone on the bed."Just making sure everyone was safe." I explain.
"You don't need to check. I know to keep my distance." He growls, annoyed. So I quickly shut the door and go back to my position, pouring drinks. But there doesn't seem much point anymore because people have started helping themselves. So I decide to go find Shinoa and the others.
AN: Sorry this chapters not very exciting, but I need bugs in between otherwise the story won't flow properly. I have a feeling this might turn out to be a really long fanfic as well, oops! And I'm sorry my chapter names are so bad omg. :(
Hope you're enjoying it so far, thank you for all the votes and comments :)
