Chapter 30: A Daydream Away

YU'S POV:

I opened my eyes slowly. Everything's blurry. Colours merge into one misty blob in front of me.
When I finally start to come around properly, I can make out shapes. A window, my hand in front of my face. I turn my head and see a figure enter the room. Eventually p, everything's clear again and I see Shinoa, looking at me with soft, kind eyes.

"Hey Yu." She says quietly.

"What happened?" I say, groggily, even though I know the answer.

"Well, you blacked out when you heard..."

"Don't say his name. I remember." I say, sitting up.

"I'll leave you alone." Shinoa leaves quickly. She could tell I didn't want company.

I breathe a heavy sigh. I don't feel like I have the energy to go over scenarios in my head as to why Mika can't return, plus it will just get me worked up again.

We were so close to getting things right. I'd just got him back. There was peace. Everything was almost perfect. And then that bastard Ferid had to come and step in and take him away from me again, almost as if he's teasing me.
Recently my feelings for Mika have been stronger than ever and I know that's cheesy as hell but it's true.

I'm sat here on my bed, with tears falling down my face once again, wishing Mika was here by my side, to hold me and keep me safe. Tell me everything's okay. But instead it feels like he's a daydream away...

And I promised myself I wouldn't get worked up about this again...

AN: Hey guys, sorry I haven't been uploading recently, but I just started summer holidays, so I should be able to write more. Also, idk if anyone noticed, but yes, I stole the chapter name from an All Time Low song... I was listening to A Daydream Away when I started writing it and I thought it was fitting for the chapter and I'm always struggling for chapter names so I thought it was perfect :-)
Also, sorry this is short, I felt you guys needed an update, and this chapter is really bad but it's filler I'm so sorry :-(
