YU'S POV:

I wake up with a tear stained face and barely any voice. I look at the clock to see its 3pm. I don't bother getting changed out of what I was wearing when I went to bed which is also what I was wearing last night, and make my way to the kitchen. The smell of muffins is welcoming as I flop down into a chair.

"You overslept a little." Says Kimizuki who is currently wearing a floral apron waiting for his muffins to bake. He looks like a maid in it.

"At least I'm not wearing a floral apron." I yawn.

"Not too tired to make jokes, eh?" Says Kimizuki, a slight tone of annoyance to his statement. "Someone used my apron as a cloth to clean up someone's vomit at the party. So I'm stuck up with this." I snort at this.

"How long till they're done?"

"They should be ready now." He says, bending over to retrieve the muffins from the oven.

"That's my breakfast sorted then." I say, getting up to get orange juice from the fridge. Kimizuki laughs as he slides the tray out.
I open the fridge door, still dazed with sleep. I fumble around and collect the juice and sloppily fill a glass with it.

"It's almost as if you're still drunk." Smirks Kimizuki, now wafting his muffins with a baking sheet.

I roll my eyes. "Like you can talk." I croak.

I return the orange juice back to the fridge but when I open the door, I see the test tube rack full of the vials of Krul's blood. "Mika."

"What?" Kimizuki says. I said that out loud?

"Nothing." I say, shrugging it off and placing the Orange juice back on the fridge shelf.

He places a muffin on a plate in front of me. He doesn't really know what to say. But thankfully, Mitsuba walks in, breaking the silence.

"Why are you two so quiet?" She asks, going to the fridge herself. Then, she inhales the sweet scent of Kimizuki's baking. "What's been cooking." She shuts the fridge door. Kimizuki steps aside. "Muffins! Yum." She grabs one and sits down at the table with me.

"So, sleeping beauty finally woke up." She says as she bites into her food.

I shrug. "It was a rough night." She nods understandingly and stays silent for a moment.

"It was for the best." She finally says. There's nothing any of my friends can really say to make me feel better. Yeah, it was for the best. That's the truth. The harsh truth.
