majesty (n) - impressive stateliness, dignity, or beauty
When Kirianna Emerson moves to Santa Carla with her family, she's given the chance to leave years of abuse in the rearview. Once there, she meets a group that begins to usurp her family's impo...
A little later, all of us, excluding Grandpa, head down to the boardwalk. Mom and I to look for a job, Sam and Mike to goof off.
A while later, after the boys headed off to see the live music, Mom and I are walking when we hear, "Mom! Mom! I can't find my mom!"
We look over to see a little boy crying and rubbing his eyes as he looks around.
We go over and crouch down beside the upset child.
"What's the matter?" Mom asks as I carefully rub the child's back.
He moves closer to Mom and I as a group of bikers walks into the Video Store that we're in front of.
"Are you lost?" Mom asks him softly, while I ignore the stares that I can feel burning into my back.
He nods and we take a quick glance around.
Since we don't see the child's mother, my mom takes his hand and moves towards the video store.
"Let me ask in here." I tell the boy as my mom follows me into the store.
"Excuse me," I says to the man with glasses that's at the register. "I wonder if you could help us. This little boy is lost and we're wondering if his mother might be in here."
"I don't really know." The man replies, mainly looking at Mom.
"Terry!"
We look as a woman rushes into the store and grabs the boy.
"I was so worried." She says, sounding relieved. After hugging the boy, she stands up. "Don't run off like that."
The man at the register hands him a lollipop. "There you are."
"Thank you." The boy says, before walking out with his mom.
"Bye, Terry." My mom says.
I ignore the rest of the adult conversation in favor of watching the bikers, meaning that I also miss the man's eyes widening at my necklace that Angel (picture below) gave me.

As I watch them, he blonde-haired leader smirks at the man behind me before turning the smirk to me. He then winks at me as the group walks out. Unconsciously, I follow. It probably wasn't a very good decision but, hey, they're hot.
"Hey, cutie." the rocker dude says, bringing the group's attention to my presence.
"Wanna go for a ride?" the leader asks me.
I glance back at the store and my mom, my base instincts screaming all the while. I refocus my gaze back to the leader and, surprisingly, they quiet. I smile at him. "Sure."
He holds out his hand to help me onto his bike and I take it, blushing as I get on.
"I'm David." He says. "That's Dwayne, Paul and Marko. We're the Lost Boys"
"I'm just Kiri."
"Well then, Just Kiri, hold on tight."
And we're off.
We stop at the top of a cliff and the boys climb off. David helps me off and steadies me when I stumble.
"Thanks." I murmur.
He smirks.
"So what's your story, princess?" Paul asks me as we sit on the edge of the cliff.
I shrug. "Not really much of a story."
David smirks. "Then it shouldn't be that hard to tell us."
I sigh. "Family was murdered when I was 7, was then raised by someone else until I was 10, then adopted by the Emerson's, and here I am."
Paul frowns. "Sorry about that, cutie."
I shrug. "I've dealt with those demons already. No need to be sorry."
Paul shakes his head. "Still."
I smile. "Thank you for caring, but I promise you I'm fine."
For the next few minutes, I watch the boys joke around as I lean on David's shoulder.
I yawn, catching David's attention.
"Time to take the princess home." He says, pulling me with him as he stands up.
The guys climb back onto their bikes. David holds out a hand to help me back onto his, then kisses the back of my hand when I place it in his.
David stops outside the entrance of the Boardwalk.
"This is your stop, doll."
I climb off and smile at him.
"Thanks for the ride. It was fun."
He smirks, "Not scared off yet?"
I shake my head.
"Good."
A girl in a gypsy skirt walks up to us. A little boy that was with her gets onto Dwayne's bike.
"Star, meet Kiri. Kiri, this is Star. She takes care of the little man over there, Laddie."
I smile. "Nice to meet you."
She sighs and climbs onto David's bike.
David frowns. "Meet us tomorrow night here."
"Okay."
David looks behind me and smirks. I turn my head and see my brothers standing a distance away.
David winks at me then takes off after the others.
I walk over to Mike and sigh when he gives me a disapproving look.
"I'm old enough to take care of myself, Mike."
He shakes his head. "They could be murderers, Ki. I don't want you to get hurt."
I hug him. "I'm not gonna get hurt, big brother."
He sighs and pull me a fraction closer.
That night, I slept peacefully.
Ever since the death of my family and my adoption, I've had nightmares about that night. Angel got them to a minimum, but under Mr. Emerson's abuse, they came back full force. I always woke up at least twice a night with different visions of my own death seared into my brain.
So to sleep peacefully for one night is a miracle and a much needed reprieve.
And as I slept, I could have sworn that someone said, "You're safe now, princess."
