Hey guys! I'm sorry if you waited a long time for this. I've been super busy with college and haven't had a lot of time to write. Along with that, I apologize if this chapter isn't super long or the best. I wanted to give you guys something. Thank you for 1.3k reads!!

After a few hours of messing with Sammy and just plain annoying Grandpa, Sammy and I head down to the kitchen to make some food.

Grandpa comes in and sets his hat and a stuffed dog on the counter near the phone.

"Anything around here that might pass for an aftershave?"

I look around, as does Sammy. Sammy goes over and grabs the Windex off of the window sill.

"How about some Windex, Grandpa?"

Grandpa comes over. "Yes, let me try some of that."

Sammy laughs as Grandpa puts the Windex on his face as Mike creeps into the room.

"Have a big date tonight, Grandpa?" He asks, voice a little monotone.

Grandpa laughs as he walks over and picks up his stuff. "Just going to drop by some of my handiwork to the Widow Johnson."

"What'd you stuff for her? Mr. Johnson?" Mike asks, making me frown.

Grandpa gives him a sort of disgusted look. "I'll see you three guys later."

He leaves and Sammy is immediately on Mike.

"That wasn't funny, Mike."

Mike just looks at him with a half-smirk.

I sigh. "What's gotten into you, Mike?"

He shrugs but sobers.

Sammy and I smile at the sound of Grandpa's faded horn.

"I'm gonna make you a sandwich, Mike."

Mike takes his sunglasses off. "Don't bother."

Sammy looks up. "Lose the earring, Mike. It's not you. It's definitely not you."

"Piss off." Mike replies. "What about Kiri's?"

"It fits her style."

I smile. "Thanks, Sammy."

He smiles then turns back to Mike. "All you do is give attitude lately. You watchin' too much Dynasty, bud?"

Mike doesn't get a chance to answer because bike lights are seen zooming by the kitchen windows and the loud engines are heard as the wind whips the curtains around. Mike and I follow the lights around to the front of the house. We move towards the door where whooping from the riders outside can be heard.

Kiri...

David's whisper scares me enough to make me jump, though, thankfully, neither of the boys notice.

Sammy yells out his protests and clings to me as Mike walks over to the door. The strange thing, though, is that the moment Mike opens the door, all the noises and wind and lights disappear as if they had been an illusion.

Sammy and I walk over to the door after he hesitantly releases me from his tight grip.

"What's goin' on, Mike?" Sammy asks, looking out the window.

"Go take your bath." Mike says, ignoring the question, confusing me.

Once Sammy is upstairs, I turn to Mike. "He deserves to know, Mike."

He gives me a droll stare. "So he can, what? Freak out over something that doesn't involve him? Great idea, Kiri."

I scoff. "You know how he is. He's gonna find out sooner or later. And if it's not through you, he's gonna freak out ten times worse."

Mike rolls his eyes.

I huff. "Alright. Don't believe me. But I can and will say I told you so when this blows up in your face."

He waves me off and I give up, retreating to my room.

I'm there sketching when I hear David's whisper again.

Curious, I walk over to the window and glance around, looking for him. I hear a whistle and look down. I chuckle when Paul waves wildly.

I slip on my shoes, grab a jacket and open the window.

"Jump!" David calls up quietly.

I clamber out the window and ease towards the edge of the roof. When I get there, David holds out his arms. I jump with my eyes closed, grinning when I land perfectly in David's arms.

"Alright, boys! Let's go!" David says, setting me down on the back of his bike. He climbs on in front of me then pulls out and speeds off. The boys follow, staying quiet until we hit the road. Once we hit the road, all I hear is whoops and hollers, making me giggle.

We pull up at the boardwalk, making me smile.

"So what's the plan for tonight?" I ask David as we pull to a stop.

"Just fun." He answers vaguely.

I grin, the ambiguousness of his answer not bothering me in the slightest. "Perfect. I'm gonna go grab some food. I'll meet you back here in a few."

He nods, pulling out a cigarette.

After grabbing a very expensive and crappy bite to eat, I make my way back to the boys, who seem extra hyper tonight.

"So what did you guys take?" I comment, causing all of them to shoot me confused looks.

"What are you talking about, Majesty?" Paul says, grinning, obviously high as a kite.

I roll my eyes. "You guys obviously took something cuz you're all hyper as hell."

They laugh, causing me to smile, but don't really give me any sort of answer. They get off their bikes and stand in front of me.

"We'll let David explain what's going on." Dwayne tells me before he, Paul, and Marko walk away.

I turn my attention to David, whose grin seems to be getting bigger by the second. "What do you have up your sleeve, mister?"

"Depends on your answer. You say yes, we party til dawn. You say no, I'll send you on your way."

I cross my arms, already on the defense at the thought of being separated from the boys I had grown close to over the past few days. "What's this important question that I'm answering?"

He looks me in the eyes as if he's searching my soul for something. "Do you want to be one of us?"

My body freezes at the question, my mind going back and forth at least a hundred times. I think of the important people in my life at the moment then imagine what a future with the Lost Boys would be like.

The Lost Boys are important to me, too. I may not have known them long, but they've almost become a family. Could I stand to lose them?

My mind finally made up after settling my inner debate, I answer with only response that I can at the moment.

"Yes."
