Asami looked down at Mai. The kid looked horrified, having understood what the manager had said.
"Is something wrong with Mama??", Mai asked, looking at Asami in fear.
Asami laughed nervously. She didn't want Mai to worry. That'll make things worse. She didn't need to know that Korra may or may not have been poisoned.
"I'm sure it's nothing, baby. Here".
She looked over at Pema. Standing up, she walked over to Pema.
"Can you keep her here for a second??", she asked, giving Pema a certain look.
She motioned her head over to Korra. Pema understood and took Mai on her lap. Jinora and Ikki understood what Asami wanted and immediately occupied Mai. Asami turned to her friends. She motioned for them to follow.
"How are we gunna get to Korra??", Opal asked. "She's on the ice".
Asami looked at her and shrugged.
"We're gonna slide over to her", she said with a simple shrug.
Mako raised an eyebrow.
"Are you crazy??".
Asami crossed her arms.
"No. I need to get to Korra and that's the only way how. Now C'mon".
Asami walked over to edgenpf t he platform that separated the audience from the ice rink. She bit her lip, contemplating.
This was crazy but oh well. The group of young adults took off on the ice. Their shoes glided perfectly over the ice. They'd skated many themes before, even with regular shoes on. It was dangerous but they could do it. They glided over to where the actors were surrounding Korra.
"What happened??", Asami said getting their attention.
All the actors and such, turned to look at them as they neared the group. Asami slid over to the bed/ bench thing and grabbed it, steadying herself. Asami tucked a lock of hair behind her ear, looking down at Korra. Sitting down, she looked up.
"Well??", she said. "What the hell happened??".
They heard a cackle. They all turned to the woman.
"Who are you??", Iroh demanded.
The woman smirked.
"Hiya handsome", she said. "I just gave little miss Korra something to drink".
"What did you do to her??", Asami asked.
The woman shrugged, clasping her hands.
"Oh nothing. I might have given her a little bit of poison".
She shrugged. "Not much".
Everyone gasped. Asami turned and looked at Korra. She reached out and touched her cheek. It was slightly cold. Asami leaned down and placed her ear on Korra's chest. She heard and heartbeat.
Lifting her head she said, "She's still alive".
"Not for long", the woman said.
"Arrest her!!", Iroh shouted, pointing at the woman.
Security finally came out. They seized the woman.
"Get of me you fools", the woman demanded.
"Who are you??", Asami asked. "Why did you do this to Korra??. What did she do to deserve death??".
