Enjoy :)
Asami put her car in park. She turned the ignition and turned the car off, pulling the key out. She rested her hands in the steering wheel. She took a deep breath and then exhaled. She turned her head and looked out the window at Korra's house. Korra had to be home. Bolin and Mako said that's where she'd find Korra. Asami grabbed her keys, her bag and opened the car door. She climbed out and closed the door, locking the car as she walked up to one-story home.
She hoped Korra would finally give her some answers. She wasn't going to avoid this conversation anymore. Asami walked up to the front door and knocked three times. Asami crossed her arms, waiting. A moment later, the door opened and there stood Korra, a confused, nervous, and surprised look on her face. Half her body was hidden by the door.
Asami decided not to wait another second.
"Korra. Why didn't you tell me you had mental illnesses and take medication??" Asami asked.
Korra's eyes wandered down to the floor for a moment before she looked back up at Asami. Asami raised an eyebrow.
"Why didn't you tell me you were famous??." Korra asked, her voice quiet.
Asami's eyes widened, her posture relaxing. Her mouth opened, but no words could come out. They stood there, neither woman saying a word. There was an uncomfortable silence.
Asami wasn't used to feeling uncomfortable. As a business woman, Asami was use to staring down people with a straight face. She had been in rooms filled with strangers during meetings. Although intimidating as they were, that was nothing compared to how thick the tension in the air felt.
Asami decided to break the silence.
"May I come in?? We need to talk."
Korra bit her lip.
"Um. O-Okay. Um..... excuse the way it looks."
Korra opened the door wider, stepping aside to let Asami in. Asami walked into the house. Korra closed and locked the door. She turned to Asami, rubbing her hands on the dark blue sweatpants she was wearing.
"Um..... we can go talk in the living room." She suggested with a shrug.
Asami nodded.
"Yeah. That's a good idea." She said.
Korra motioned for Asami to follow her. Korra led her down the hall and to the right. They walked into a small carpeted room with a flat-screen tv, blue and white curtains in the windows, a cozy looking brown leather sofa and a glass coffee table that had a stack letters and stuff on top of it. The sunlight lit up the room. Naga was laying down on the carpet. She immediately sat up when Korra and Asami walked in. She got up in all fours and started wagging her tail.
Korra and Asami walked over to the sofa and sat down, facing each other. Asami put her keys in her bag and then put the bag on the sofa. She looked at Korra. Korra was rubbing her jeans slowly, like someone who was drying sweaty palms. She was looking everywhere but at Asami. Asami cleared her throat, grabbing Korra's attention.
Korra looked at her then at her lap.
"So, how did you find out about that stuff??." She asked.
