She woke up abruptly, laying on her cushioned and feathered bed, face burning, a hot beam of sun shining on her face from the open window. Her mouth was dry, and her sight blurred when she opened her grass-green eyes.
She blinked a few times and sat upright. Her porcelain skin looked yellow in the sunshine.
The girl rolled over into the shaded half of her bed and closed her eyes again to continue her slumber.
Somebody burst into the room. The girls insides squirmed with disappointment.
"Wake up blondie. There is work to be done." It was Chataya. The owner of the finest brothel in King's Landing.
Chataya had golden brown eyes, black skin and the purest of black hair. Her skin was smooth, and while she celebrated forty three years since her birth in the next few months, there wasn't a crease to be found in her perfect face. She had bulging breasts and incredibly wide hips.
Her thick eyebrows furrowed at the delayed response from her employee.
"Definitely madam." The girl replied.Chataya raised her eyebrows, "up now Marei, and there will be no reading time today. As you know it is the Hand's tourney this afternoon, there are many guests and many guests mean many men." She said with a stern look.
Her golden eyes gleamed as a blink of sunlight danced off of them. The room was lightening as the sun gradually rose. It was a mere two hours past the break of dawn.
"Of course madam." Marei replied, faking enthusiasm.
Chataya looked sceptical before leaving her alone in the room with a final, curt nod. Marei dragged herself out of bed.
She found her brush and began to comb it through her hair, removing the knots and making her yellow mane shine in the light of the sun.
She sighed at the thought of having to go through yet another day having sex with men she had never met before.
