CHAPTER 7 - Her.

Another day, another night, another flight.

When he entered the plane he bumped into a new flight attendant which made the tray of food she was carrying fell and his suitcase and hat fell as well.

"I'm sorry." He said and helped her picked up the food and he grabbed his hat and suitcase. She stood up and he looked up and they saw each other eye-to-eye. "Thank you." She said.

Phoebe and Martin saw the whole thing and were laughing. Phoebe went to Trip who was speechless. "Trip, this is our new flight attendant, Amelia Buckner." Phoebe said. Trip was stunned, "Amelia, this is our captain and fearless leader, Trip McAllister." Phoebe said.

Amelia smiled and extended her hand while Trip stared at her with an awkward smile, then when he noticed she was extending her hand, he gladly shook it and smiled. "It's nice to meet you." She said. "It's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Buckner." He said and then they went back to what they were supposed to do.

When Trip entered the cockpit, Martin was laughing his ass off. "Dude what did I just witness?!" He asked while laughing. "Shut up." Trip said. "So what's with the new F.A.?" He asked. "Calvin quit, that's why Amelia's here. She's his replacement." Martin said and began checking the things needed. "Why did Calvin quit?" Trip asked. "Got hired as the new purser for Virgin America." Martin replied. "Oh okay." Trip replied and found himself smiling as he sat on his seat.

After a couple of minutes of boarding and preparing for flight, they take off safely and began cruising the skies at normal altitude. Then a moment later, Trip and Martin was served with food as well as the passengers on board.

"What did you get?" Trip asked. "Chicken breast. You?" Martin answered and asked. "Pork and mash." Trip replied. Then Martin shifted the conversation, "So what did you think of the new addition?" He asked. Trip smiled, "She's pretty." He said. "Oh my god! You've got a crush on her!" Martin said. "No!" Trip replied. "Just because I find her pretty doesn't mean I've got a crush on her." He said. Martin smiled, "Whatever you say, my friend." He said smugly.

After finishing their food, Phoebe enters and gets it and told them they'll be dimming cabin lights in twenty minutes. Trip and Martin have a little chat.

"Trip, I'm sorry about that call I made early in the morning and being such a mess." Martin said. "I had a really shitty morning but it's okay. Have you worked it out with Jess?" Trip asked. "She broke up with me after I confessed to her that I cheated on her." Martin said sadly. "Oh." Trip said. "Yeah. It's my fault. I shouldn't have cheated on her." He said and Trip nodded.

"I don't know how you stayed faithful to Megan after all the shit you did back in high school, before you met Megan." Martin said.

"It's simple, I loved her." Trip replied.

"I love Jess too." Martin said. "Then why'd you cheat on her?!" Trip asked. "If you loved her why'd you sleep with Tracy in the first place?" He asked. "I don't know." Martin said and looked down.

"Let this be a lesson, Mart. You are lucky enough to have a great girl like Jess. You are very fortunate that she's alive. Cherish every moment you have with her because one day, she may be gone for good and all the things you would've done right will be nothing but mere regrets. If you love her, fight for her. Now that the truth is out, the trust you two built together is perished but you can work it out again and prove to her that you love her. It may be hard but it's what you did that made it really hard for her to trust you and forgive you again." Trip said.

"None of this would have happened if it weren't for me screwing it all up." Martin said. Trip nodded in agreement, "Lets not dwell on that anymore and focus on getting her back and changing for the better." He said. "I understand. Thanks for the advice, Trip. Anyways, I've got to go take a leak." Martin said and went to go pee.
