(Note: I want to eventually include the Papyrus/Undyne phone calls in this book. There are a lot of of them, and I don't want to include all of them. Help me choose the best! Because the phone calls depend on your location and the point in the game, if I miss a good one, please let me know.)
Further on from Sans' sentry station and the echo flower was a large waterfall that flowed into a pool, which flowed over the cliff edge in another waterfall. Rocks were falling down with the water. The path seemed to lead straight through the pool, because it continued on the other side. Right before the pool was the Box, with another sign: 'This is a box. You can put an item in or take an item out. Why would you, though? You can't use items when they're in the box! Sincerely, a box hater.' I snickered, and walked towards the pool. I tried to avoid the falling rocks, but one of them hit me. Surprisingly, it didn't hurt me, but it did push me out of the pool and onto a boardwalk that was in front of the lower waterfall, supported by long wooden stakes. At the end of the boardwalk was an echo flower that had seemingly attatched itself to the wood. "I swore I saw something..." said the flower, "behind that rushing water..."
Behind the waterfall was a camera! This wasn't the first hidden camra I had seen. Someone was watching me! But who?
I walked back along the boardwalk to the path, and attempted to wade through the pool again. Curiously, I went to the higher waterfall. Maybe there was another camera. There seemed to be space behind the waterfall. I walked through it. Behind it was a small cave with blue, bioluminescent mushrooms in it. There was also a pink tutu lying on the ground. Finally, a protective piece of armor. I took it and walked back to the path.
The narrow path got darker and darker as I went along. I walked into a patch of thick blue rushes. The rushes were very tall, and went over my head. Suddenly, I heard a noise above me. I froze. A fully-armored figure, with what seemed to be a red plume on its helmet, was standing on a ledge above me. It was facing away from it. Walking toward it was another figure, half shadowed. It was Papyrus. "H... HI, UNDYNE!" he said. Undyne! The figure was the head of the Royal Guard! "I'M HERE WITH MY DAILY REPORT... UHHH... REGARDING THAT HUMAN I CALLED YOU ABOUT EARLIER..." Undyne turned towards Papyrus. She must have said something, because he said, "HUH? DID I FIGHT THEM? Y-YES! OF COURSE I DID! I FOUGHT THEM VALIENTLY!" Undyne turned away again. "...WHAT? DID I CAPTURE THEM...? W-W-WELL... NO. I TRIED VERY HARD, UNDYNE, BUT IN THE END... I FAILED."
I felt so bad for Papyrus. He had to choose between me and his devotion to the head of the Royal Guard, and his dream of being part of it. I think I did the right thing by befriending him, though. He was just so... incompetent.
Papyrus was facing my direction. Undyne was facing him. "...W-WHAT?" Papyrus turned back towards her. "YOU'RE GOING TO TAKE THE HUMAN'S SOUL YOURSELF?"
Undyne faced the other way again. Papyrus urgently began to walk towards her. "BUT UNDYNE, YOU DON'T H- HAVE TO DESTROY THEM! YOU SEE... YOU SEE..." Undyne faced him insistantly. Papyrus backed away. "... I UNDERSTAND. I'LL HELP YOU IN ANY WAY I CAN." He left.
So, Undyne was trying to kill me, too. Wonderful. Something told me she wouldn't be as easy to befriend as Papyrus was. I stood still for as long as I could manage, hoping she would go away, but she didn't. I tried to sneak through the rushes, but they rustled. Undyne was immediately alert. I froze. She walked towards the edge of the ledge and looked over into the rushes. I hoped she couldn't see me as well as I could see her. Her loud, ringing metallic footsteps in her armor boots were ominous. She lifted a long, glowing, electric turquoise spear, pointing down towards the rushes. She looked around, and to my relief, put the spear away. She backed away and faded into the darkness.
I stood still for a moment more, just to make sure she really had gone. I moved a bit, rustling the rushes, but I heard no responding footsteps. She was gone. I sighed in relief and walked out of the rushes. Suddenly, I heard the rushes move again. Someone ran after me. "Monster Kid!"

FanfictionThis is a novel version of Undertale's Pacifist Run. I hope it reads like a novel, rather than simply a narration of the game. Almost all dialogue is taken directly from the game (except for the protagonist's, which is obviously improvised). In the...
