It's the end.
Somehow, I knew this was the final battle. Asriel Dreemurr hovered in front of me. I wasn't sure exactly what he wanted, or why he thought I was Chara. He probably wanted to take my SOUL so he could destroy the barrier... no, he already had the equivalent of seven SOULs inside him. He was a being made of every SOUL in the Underground. That meant that he was extremely powerful, more so than even Photoshop Flowey... He was the absolute GOD of Hyperdeath. There seemed to be only two things I could do: Hope, and Dream. I held on to my hopes... I'm going to win... I'm going to win... Asriel sent fireballs at me in the same way as his parents. They didn't hurt me as much as they might have otherwise. I lost very little energy, despite being hit by several fireballs.
Suddenly, the barrier flashed with shifting colors. Asriel floated back and forth, and rainbows trailed behind him. I thought about why I was here now. I recovered the little energy I had lost, and I felt something appear in my pocket. Asriel raised his arms above his head, looking excited. Stars sparkled at his fingertips. Gigantic rainbow stars rained down on me. They exploded into rings of little white stars that I struggled to avoid. The attack culminated with an even bigger star that exploded into dense concentric circles of stars. I had lost a lot of energy. I took out the thing in my inventory. It was a Last Dream, the goal of Determination. Through DETERMINATION, the dream became true. It restored my energy!
"You know..." Asriel said as he charged something called a Shocker Breaker. "I don't care about destroying this world anymore." He raised his arms again, which tingled with colored lightning. He struck the battlefield with lightning bolts seven times, then he called on his Chaos Sabre. I held on to my hopes... "After I defeat you and gain total control over the timeline... I just want to reset everything!"
"Reset everything? You mean, bring me back to the very beginning?"
"All your progress... everyone's memories. I'll bring them all back to zero!"♥ Asriel raised his arms. He was holding two gigantic swords. He floated to my left. I stayed on the right, but he swung down the sword in his left hand, which hit me hard. We both switched sides, and I was hit with the other sword. Then I realized I had to move with him. I followed him to the left and right, avoiding his attacks until he stopped in the center and brought both swords down, surrounding me in little stars. "Then we can do everything ALL over again!" Despite my defense boost, the Shocker Breaker had done so much damage that my SOUL split.
But it refused.
My SOUL fused back together. My determination was so strong, I could prevent myself from dying!
I had gone back in time just a few moments. I quickly ate the Popato Chisps. Asriel used the Shocker Breaker and the Chaos Sabres again. After I had died a few times, I began to memorize the patterns of his attacks and strategize my actions. It was better to Hope before the Shocker Breaker, so it wouldn't do as much damage, then Dream after another round of star beams. Thinking about the future and my friends healed my energy. My pockets filled up with dreams. I was getting good at dodging the Chaos Sabres. Asriel readied his Chaos Blaster. "And you know what the best part of all this is?" he continued. "You'll do it!" He took out a massive winged blaster and shot diamond-shaped bullets at me. Three lines of them, then four... I had to time my movements. The blaster filled up with rainbow light, which shot at me like a laser. That was easy to dodge, though. I kept holding on... his next attack wouldn't hurt me as badly. "And then you'll lose to me again," Asriel taunted. He swung his swords at me. I kept holding on... "And again." Asriel hit me with the Shocker Breaker again. It was even worse this time. I ran to avoid the bolts, just barely missing each one. Another bolt of lightning struck in front of me. I almost had a heart attack. I ran back the opposite direction, and was bombarded. I quickly ate a Last Dream. "And again!!!" Asriel readied Galactica Blazing. "Because you want a 'happy ending'.
