"Ohhh my," said Mettaton. "If you flipped my switch, that can only mean one thing. You're desperate for the premier of my new body. How rude... Lucky for you, I've been aching to show this off for a long time. So... as thanks, I'll give you a handsome reward. I'll make your last living moments... ABSOLUTELY beautiful!"

I couldn't believe it. Mettaton looked completely different. He had a humanoid form, now. He had black "hair" with a long fringe in front of his right eye. His left eye was magenta. He had pale "skin" with metal segments around his left eye. His arms were still segmented, and he was still wearing white gloves. He wore a vivid pink chest piece with a dial on one side and a speaker on the other, long, pointy black shoulder guards, black pants, and a kind of box contraption shaped like a shield with around his waist. It had a heart on it. He also wore magenta high-heeled boots. I stared. I didn't know what to think. Some of my distaste toward him went straight out the window. Music started playing, and he started dancing. Here we go. This was the real battle.
I glanced at the wall. There was a graph showing the ratings of the audience. If I could just get enough ratings... then maybe the battle would end more quickly. He kicked at my SOUL. Ow, those heels hurt! I remembered what one of the monsters outside one of the puzzles said. I posed dramatically. The audience nodded, and my ratings increased. "Drama! Romance! Bloodshed!" Mettaton cried. Little mini (box-shaped) Mettatons holding MTT umbrellas rained down, along with several bombs. I shot the bombs, but they exploded and hurt me. Little hearts floated from the mini-Mettatons at my SOUL. I died.
You're going to be alright! Chara! Stay determined...
I stood outside the doorway to the stage. I walked in and had to listen to Mettaton's monologue again, had to fight him and flip him around again... I wasn't half as surprised as I had been the first time. This time, when he kicked at me, I healed myself more quickly. I ate the Glamburger. The audience loves the brand! The ratings increased! Ah! Mettaton smirked and kicked me again. I died again. I had used almost all my healing items on the monsters in the CORE, which was probably his intention. I needed more if I was going to survive this battle.
The elevator next to the door went back to the bottom of the CORE, right next to the entrance. Apparently, it had started working again. I went back into the entrance and bought some Glamburgers and Starfaits from Burgerpants. When I got back, I decided to skip Mettaton's monologue by turning him around right away. "CLEVER. VERY CLEVER."
I posed dramatically as a now-humanoid Mettaton shouted, "Lights! Camera! Action!" I was beginning to anticipate his attacks. If I shot at his legs, it would knock him out of the way, allowing me to dodge before he kicked again. I could avoid the bombs and mini-Mettatons' hearts more easily if I shot half the mini-Mettatons. "I'm the idol everyone craves!" Mettaton boasted. He kicked and shot machine nuts at me, and there were those metal bars again. "Smile for the camera!" I had to shoot the yellow sliders on them to get them to move out of the way.

FanfictionThis is a novel version of Undertale's Pacifist Run. I hope it reads like a novel, rather than simply a narration of the game. Almost all dialogue is taken directly from the game (except for the protagonist's, which is obviously improvised). In the...
