"Hey, it's not like I gave him a concussion or anything."

"Oh yeah, he just happened to pass out because you hit him in the damn face with a shoe!"

"HE WAS BOTHERING ME OKAY, HE WOULDN'T SHUT UP!"

These were the marvelous sounds I heard as I walked down the stairs that morning, with my bags packed and all ready for the trip ahead of us. I looked around and rubbed my hand on my face. Jack was sitting on the counter laughing like a hyena and Kacey and Kaleb were standing in the center of the room, both looking very angry, with Sean passed out on the floor under them. Yes, I said passed out.

"Oh god, what's going on here?" James said, walking down the stairs, looking delicious as usual.

"Kaleb threw a shoe in Sean's face because he was teasing him about Veronica, and Sean passed out." Jack said, barely controlling his laughter. Veronica was Kaleb's new girlfriend but we could all tell that she was something more to him than just his normal "toys". This must have been the reason that Kaleb had gotten so angry, I secretly smirked, knowing exactly what was going on here.

"It's not like that! She's amazing in bed okay!" Kaleb exclaimed, stomping out to the car. We all chuckled until I remembered that Sean was still passed out on the floor. "Oh god, Kacey, we've got to get going." I told her, looking at my wristwatch and then pointing at Sean. "We'll figure something out." She answered putting her head in her hands.

So here we were, almost thirty minutes later, in the car, with Sean still passed out in the backseat. We just put him in the back and figured he would wake up soon. Hey, it's not like any of us are professional doctors or anything, we didn't know what to do.

We were almost at the airport now and Sean still hadn't woken up and was laying peacefully in the backseat as if it was his bed. Kacey and Kaleb hadn't talked to each other for the whole ride so far and I was almost dying from boredom. James was fast asleep on my shoulder and I turned to look at him, admiring every little detail on his face.

Time passed and soon we reached the airport. But there was a problem. Sean wasn't waking up and we were starting to get concerned, especially Kacey, who was pacing the parking lot, worry written across her forehead. We had tried everything, and we were debating on whether to take him to the doctors or not, even though we didn't have enough time with our flight time getting closer by the minute.

Not even a bit of stirring had come from the backseat from the moment that we had sat in the car, and with Kacey still fuming at Kaleb, we were starting to run out of ideas. James and Jack were sitting on the hood of the car playing cards, Kaleb and Kacey were now giving each other the silent treatment, and I was sitting in the front seat of the car, music blasting from the radio.

A while later, almost thirty minutes before our boarding time, I heard groaning in the back seat. I quickly spun around to see Sean holding his head with a confused look on his face. "Where the fuck am I?" He asked. "In the backseat of my car, almost making us late for our flight, is all." Kaleb answered, suddenly appearing out of thin air.

Sean seemed to remember everything that had happened at that moment and then there were screams, as Sean jumped towards Kaleb with a grunt, and Kacey screamed at both boys to get off each other. Of course, people were starting to stare, and Jack and James were running over to break the boys apart. I was struggling not laugh as Sean tried to punch Kaleb, now being held back by James, and Kaleb shook his head in anger, while being distracted by Jack.

After we had boarded the plane, no one saying anything to each other the whole time, I started to get pissed off that this trip would turn out to be like this the whole time if the tension in the air didn't go away.
